The drawer is well made and very sturdy. It has spots for our handhelds and beltpacks and though we don't use AAs for our wireless mics, would be very handy for those who do. We'll probably just remove that foam piece and use it for extra storage for lavs and headpieces. The bad part is that the sections for the handheld mics are narrow. Narrow enough that our SM58 heads (2" diameter) would not "drop in" and had to be pressed down hard. At least we know they won't be bouncing around, but the felt lining on the dividers is going to get chewed up fast. Also, the additional storage space in the back of the drawer is difficult to utilize even with the drawer fully pulled out. I would have preferred Gator stuck to the previous revision of this item where the AA storage was condensed to half that size and the extra space was easily accessible up front. All in all the drawer works well and we're going to try clamping the dividers to help spread them wider to make better fitment. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs convenient storage like this, but not if you have mics with heads 2" or lager in diameter.
