Gerber LMF II Infantry Tactical Survival Knife, Serrated, Green

Facing on becoming homeless 3 years ago, i quickly realized I definitely needed a solid knife I could count I for defense and survival. Driving down the road I see a sign "Gun and Knife Show OPEN", and walk around for a good hour and come across this knife in the case. When the salesman handed it to me, I instantly LOVED the weight of it and how it felt ergonomically in my hand ; I looked up at him smiling and said "whoa!" he said "Right!" We both laughed and I bought this on the spot!! Why the 4*? After sheathing it in and out multiple times, I noticed the handle grip where it snapped into the shealth started to peel back from the blade. After looking at the place where it was catching, it was one of the removable straps on the back that was catching on the handle ; easy fix, I just removed the extra strap and it was fine, just a little annoying, but it didnt make the knife unless in any way, just a cosmetic issue really. Not sure if prolonged use would be an issue or not, I'm still in the market to buy another without question.

I have had a lot of "combat" knives over the last 16 years. Most usually get tossed aside for my Kabar. This has earned a spot next to it on my gear. After all, you don't always need a bayonet. My Kabar doesn't have a window breaker. My Gerber doesn't mount to my rifle. I just wish I would have had this a few deployments ago!
