I got the Ripstop as a gift over 10 years ago. It has been in my pocket every day since then - even to Church. The lock tang has finally gotten tired so I am buying another Ripstop.

Got my Gerber rip stop 2 in fall of 2017 I put it up after carrying it a while and just recently found it again I really like the partial serrated blade I think it's actually going to go to the camper with me and be put in the toolbox as a knife to use for opening boxes and doing general tasks outside that way I always have one in toolbox constantly all the time being I just found it again today I am actually carrying it now. I really like that it's actually a lock blade and one hand opening it will definitely be handy opening boxes or cutting rope or cutting boxes for a camp fire.

I have a gerber rip stop 2 that I got in September 2017 and use it at my camper for opening boxes and cutting rope or cutting boxes to get the camp fire started and it has held up very well and still works great. I keep it at my camper even after it's closed down for the season that way I have it there for the following season

I've had this knife for almost 9 years, and it hasn't failed me yet. Works great, holds an edge when sharpened properly. In terms of quality construction, the only thing that has gone wrong with it is that the "Gerber" printed on the disc at the blade stud has worn off, which is to be expected after that much use.

This is a great knife, I've never had a problem with the clip or any other problem that some other people claim to have with this knife. I use this knife every day, while fishing, camping, and hiking. I've dropped this knife on rocks, in water, In the snow, in dirt and it's still just as good as the day I bought it. Great knife for a great price!

I have many knifes from gerber, and this by far is one of my favorites. This is a great everyday knife. I never leave the house with out this clip to my side.

This is a very good knife. It works well and stays sharp. The only reason i gave it only 4 stars in the thumb and thumb stud dont work. The just are in the wrong place so u cant open it 1 handed. other than that is a very good knife. the clip is very stiff and it WONT fall out of your pocket. it is very light and compact and you almost dont even notice in your pocket. I would buy it again.

Have had this knife for about 6 years, it has seen a lot of use and a lot of abuse. Have never had a single problem with it; blade still sharpens easily, action is smooth, and I have never once had to tighten a screw.

Awesome blade, well performing knife for all condotions. But mone is not stainless mine has rust spots forming in random spots on the blade, several on the hip clip, all over the colapsable sheeth, and some on the exteriou blade hindge. Still a nice knife though...
