Great knife, have ground down the serrations so fully fine edge. Have had it in a deep pocket in my work pants for 3 years. Used every day. Sometimes to pry and chisel etc..... sharpens easy.

The knife itself is great. Exactly what I was looking for. However like all the other reviews here, the sheath is garbage. It's made of cheap plastic, rough/sharp molding edges and the screws that hold the belt clip on are tiny. I'm waiting for them to break. I'll be putting red locktite on, hopefully they hold..

I just bought this knife at my local marine supply store, I work at a seaport museum so I need a strong functional blade, I read reviews and bought it on 8/27/17. The knife it self is great, the sheath is bunk, tiny screws holding the belt clip popped out, thanks to Gerber for adding two more holding the Gerber tag. Redesign the sheath!!!!

I have 2 of these knives and love them, but as many have said, hate the sheath. I would prefer a simple kydex sheath for them. Also, I do not like the glass filled nylon handle, I wish I could put my own handle on it, such as wood or bone or G10. Lastly, I wish this knife was also offered in different colors (such as blued or stainless with wood grips. It's my go to camp kitchen knife, just aesthetically wish it had more.

Great knife but the sheath was the worst one I've ever used. The clip was too weak and the attachment point was awful.

The knife is good, nice and thick half serrated blade. I found nothing wrong with it after 3 months of use. The only thing I would improve is the sheath's reversible clip. I already had the rig to conceal it under my clothes, so I decided to hang the knife. Well out of the box, the unused screw hole that your supposed to reverse the clip on, was messed up. Once I fixed it, the clip was (factory) bent in a way so that it was not level with the sheath. Now I have one screw left because I did not see this problem. I'm not a major knife critic

I carry this knife, on my side, every day. I have carried slip on sheathed knives, until I found this! I have had this for a few weeks now, and I'm very happy with this set up! The blade is thick and very sharp(from the box)! It rides up high on my waste, and it fits very comfortably! It is easy to conceal there... I do not carry tip up, but it will wear that way, if you choose. For any daily carry people out there, looking for an economical/practical expense, fixed blade, this is a great value!

its an overall unique and decent knife. it needs to have a larger handle, completely redesigned sheath, better blade steel (even 440C would be better), redesigned handle shape (the handle's finger choil is too small along with the oddly shaped handle) and needs to be a plain edge version. do all of that and people will adore this knife. trust me, i'm a knifemaker.

Good knife but the handle is really thin and hurts my hand during long use. Ohterwise an awsome knife. Finish could be a little tougher though.

I bought my Epic from a local outdoor equipment shop today, it was the only gerber knife the shop has in stock. After home I tried the knife on all unneeded recyles, they were cut out like a piece of paper and the blade has no gap. I feel so lucky that I have own this wonderful knife.

I have found the only good thing about this knife is to open up the bottles from my 24 after a hard day of slaying. Thanks Gerber

The Gerber Epic Drop Point Fixed Blade Knife is a fixed blade, partially serrated knife. Its relative compact size makes it a great addition to your pack or pocket. The reversible pocket clip can attach to either side of the textured, glass-filled nylon handle for either right or left handed carrying. It features a Titanium Nitrate coating for added protection, non-reflection and easy cleaning. A nifty bottle opener sits at the end of the handle. A locking sheath is included.
