This little knife is hands down one of the best I have ever used. It helped me through military service with ease. The edge is so easy to retain, also the blade and opening mechanism could handle immense amount of punishment. I bought this knife 6 years ago and it's still going strong.

I've had this knife for at least 5 years now, it was one of the very first knives I ever bought for myself as a boy scout and was heavily used during that time. Ive since bought many knives, but keep coming back to the remix tactical for working as a handyman. There are many other blades that make lighter/higher quality EDC blades that I Cary outside of work, but for the price of this knife, there's not a whole lot else that beats the durability and dependability of this knife as a workhorse. Excellent blade overall

This is my everyday knife for a year now and I love it. I came to this site to see how to return it though, because the blade lock kept sticking. So Iâ??m giving it a 5 because after I tightened up the finger hole like I read in one of these reviews it started working perfect again. I might use some lock-tight on it if it starts unscrewing too quickly but it was easy to tighten.

So I bought this late 2017 because I didn't have a knife and I needed one while at work. It evolved into my everything knife. From cutting Cat5e cables to prying nails out of wood I have put this thing through the worst kinda wear you can put a knife through. It followed me on my first deployment and back. The ergonomics are kinda weird but just like with anything if you train with it enough it becomes second nature. The day I got I cut the strap off my boonies and used it as a lanyard and it's still on it. The pocket clip is the best pocket clip I've ever had on a knife, never got lose or bent. The steel isnt the best I had to keep up with the edge sharpening it on random flat rocks I found, but it's tough never bending or breaking. The finger hole was a concern and it did come lose ONCE. I retightened it and never had a problem again. Things I would change is to get rid of the serrations, change the circular holes on the tang to hexagonal to tighten or loosen bolts. Maybe find a way to implement a bearing on the swivel. And the price on top of the blade to allow you to open it broke off after a week, so somehow remedy that. But I love it and I want to hand it down to my kids and their grandkids if I have it that long. Honestly a wonderful knife, especially for the price.

The blade itself is actually very nice and sharp. I cut open thick cardboard boxes at times for work, and it does a great job. The grip is pretty nice. The compact style is nice. My thing is the Ring and the release grip to close the knife. I like the ring design for pulling it out and spinning it. Plus I have the money clip knife, and the design reminds me of it. My nervous tick loves it lol. However when I first opened the knife it was super stiff and hard to get open, so I had to unscrew the ring to make it easier to open with one hand. But because of the huge ring, I have to make a bigger circle to open fully. I have medium sized hands so I have to adjust my grip to open it. To close it is a pain. The closing mechanism is pretty close to the grip and little too stiff for my taste, so I have to squeeze it hard with assistance from the other hand to close the knife. Because of the ring and the difficulty opening and closing the knife, there's no way it can be tactical. Personally I'd rather not have a folding knife for self defense. I have the tanto prodigy for that reason, or the money clip knife is nice for it too. It was supposed to replace my EDC (K. Hansotia & Co. I won it in a raffle) folding knife which is much easier to open and close because of small radius, and thumb notch which I can push with my thumb and flick it open. But it's not nearly as sharp anymore. Granted it's probably not the same type of steel as the Gerber Remix, which makes sense. Overall I did give it a 4 stars because the quality for the price is great. It's a great blade, with an ergonomic grip, and a stylish ring. But minus 1 star for the difficulty opening and closing it. The color makes it tactical, but if I can do what I can do with my previous knife and flick it open quickly, then it would deserve all five stars.

Ive had this knife for a couple years. I use it as a box cutter, flathead, even a key bar for paint cans and whatnot. Surprisingly has held up pretty well. The only problems are bent clip(somewhat expected) and very slight surface rust other than that still holds up better than some of my newer knives. Not too shabby.

So, I am a teen. I love guns, and knives. recently i have been looking for a EDC knife, and this one takes the cake. The tanto blade is perfect with the serrated portion as an added bonus. The biggest plus is the ring in the middle. Giving this knife the perfect combination of a karambit and a normal folder. Great job Gerber!

I love this knife. As one of the few I own, I find it has a great many uses, but I mainly use it as my EDC. The clip is very secure, and it is nice and compact. The blade holds its edge very well, and the design is unique and sturdy. I would recommend this knife to anybody who is looking for a good knife for a good price.

Nice knife, zero play in the blade when open and locked, large but very slim. Fits nicely in the pocket. Great blade design and sturdy. G10 is great. The tanto is awesome. The finger hole is handy. Little stiff to open and my pocket clip came off but I expect a new clip on warranty and it loosens up with use and lube. Still a 1 handed knife, and well built.

Awesome knife! I use it every day at work. Cutting multiple types of materials. The blade design allows me to cut shallow at first for quick glance of product below the fasteners'. Then go deep for expediting the product. The circle portion allows for greater usage for either hand. Also can be used as an impacting tool. Light weight. It's rust resistant. I've owned it over a year now still no rust and it's still, tough as the day I bought it. My only complaint is the metal pocket clasp needs to be as tough as the knife itself.

I really like this knife. Solid. Quality. Weight. Great design. I'm going to give it 5 stars because I've been super happy with it but 2 problems I'll mention in hopes that it can be improved upon. The thumb rest attached to the blade is held in place with one tiny screw and it comes loose. A tiny 6 tipped star screwdriver isn't something I have laying around to fix it. Maybe this design feature could be improved. Secondly something snagged on the clip at work and bent the pocket clip outward :( Now it is sticking out when carried at just the right height to turn my 5 year old daughter into a cyclops if she runs up and hugs my leg as she does regularly. I wish Gerber had replacement parts and tools for sale online.

?Fell apart in your hand? It has a lifetime warranty...use it!!! ?Lock got stuck? I bet you just hyper flexed it...easy fix. Now my review: G10 grip is awesome the lock has NO issues, it's very low profile, great tactical knife if you NEED to use it for defense. Gerber I wish I had the DING-DONG when I was breaching...I've heard great things about it.

I had this knife for 2 years, handles grate after you brake it in, I was very fund of it although I don't love the serrated blades, the finger hole is very practical... use it for minor tasks and had worked OK... Was vey surprised to see how yesterday I applied a good amount of force to cut al lamb spine when the look mechanism broke and the blade almost folded the other way around... So not for hard work for my eyes...

I purchased this knife to replace an earlier model Remix I gave to my father in law. This was/is the newest version and so far I enjoy owning it. Today It is my go to knife for general purpose. The knife feels well constructed with good weight. I take it camping for cutting string, opening boxes, cutting tape, etc and its great to have during Christmas for opening the kiddos presents. Downside, it can be hard to open but over time I have adapted to it and feel the knife was built well enough that its not giving out or loosening up which makes that downside an upside. I haven't needed to sharpen it yet and the Hole in the handle allows for hooking with a clip when camping and just something to spin when I am holding it or standing around the campfire.

This knife is skinny and I carry it everywhere I go its always sharp and dependable. I lost mine today and I'm going to get another one tomorrow. I use this knife for everything under the sun. I highly recommend this knife. You''ll get your moneys worth out of it and more.

Purchased one about 3 years ago and eventually lost it during a move ; it felt like I lost an old friend. Finally purchased a new one a few days ago. This is an extremely sturdy and we'll built knife. Absolutely zero blade play and a good comfortable weight that let's you know you're handling a high quality Gerber product. I've read countless complaints regarding the stiffness. This is to be expected when it comes out of the packaging. I recommend a few drops of lubricant oil (I use Breakfree CLP which doubles as a cleaning agent) every so often. You need to also open and close the blade whenever you can to get the lubricant working. After a period of time it will become smooth as silk. Open it part way and you will eventually be able to open the rest with one thumb and a flick of the wrist. Can't recommend this knife enough.

Love this blade. Awesome design. The only thing I would like to see is a spring assist "trigger" inside the hole closest to the blade. Fast one hand draw for tight situations. Other than that this is the third blade i have owned that has been made by Gerber all three have been stellar.

I work around the corner from Gerber (Portland, Oregon). I always want them to do well. I've owned this knife for a year and I've finally decided to put in the drawer. This is a tactical knife and it's almost impossible to open one handed...quickly. Your fingers need to placed in a very specific location on the body. Also, the initial movement of the blade when opening is very stiff. I need a knife that opens quickly, without thought...this is not that knife. I came to Gerber's website hoping to see that they might have made improvements to the above issues. If they have, it's not noted in the description. Unfortunately, I'll be buying a different self defense knife. Also, some constructive criticism...more photos and some video showing all the pertinent aspects of Gerber knives. A single static photo just doesn't provide the info necessary for a buying decision.

used it pretty roughly even prying, but when i pried i only used the blade to produce force not the whole knife. the most solid pivot i ever used. it was a little slow to open so i put an emerson wave on it with j b weld but then that broke off, and i dropped it after years of hard use and the pivot separated and one piece got lost. I normally don't like tantos for work but this one is a actually a good and useful shape for a variety of tasks

i have owned this knife for over a year its a great knife but the belt clip got caught on something and bent so i had to find the worlds smallest torx bit to remove it but other than the belt clip i have had no issues with this knife. i have carried and owned various gerber knives over the past 15 years and this is on of the better ones gerber is the only brand knife i feel is worth the money and i wont buy any other brand

I too love this knife, but broke the belt clip. Can't buy a replacement clip, and I don't like the thought of buying another knife when this one is just fine..

The Gerber Tactical Remix has a 3 inch tanto blade that is partially serrated for added versatility. The blade is constructed of 7Cr17Mo steel and features a thumblift that lends itself to single handed operation. The G-10 composite handle is lightweight, yet durable, providing a solid gripping surface. Weighing in at only 4.6 ounces, the Gerber Tactical Remix makes an excellent choice for everyday use.
