This high-quality, durable, and reliable device is a part of Gefen's AV over IP solutions, known for their high performance, scalability, and secure AV routing and distribution over a standard Gigabit Local Area Network. The Gen 2.0 KVM products, including this HDMI Over IP Sender, are packed with innovative features and enhanced performance. They support 4K Ultra HD with HDR, have built-in scalers, and offer video-wall control. They also provide independent RS-232, IR, and audio routing, and are backward-compatible with Gefen's first-generation products. This user-friendly device supports a maximum input resolution of 4K 60 Hz 4:2:0 and a maximum output resolution of 4K 30 Hz 4:4:4. It also supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4, and can pass through 7.1 channels of HBR (High Bit Rate) lossless and LPCM digital audio. The HDMI Over IP Sender allows for independent routing of video, RS-232 2-way IR, and audio between any Sender and Receiver unit. This gives users the flexibility to control any of the sources and displays within their network. The Receiver features a built-in scaler to optimize the image for various displays and viewing environments. It also includes a powerful video wall controller that can accommodate any screen configuration up to 16x16. This provides great flexibility in sizing and manipulating live and signage content in demanding installations. The HDMI Over IP Sender also features Power-over-Ethernet, allowing the Sender and Receiver units to be powered through a standard PoE-enabled IP network switch, eliminating the need for external power supplies. When used with the EXT-CU-LAN Matrix Controller, system configuration is automated and quick. The EXT-CU-LAN also enhances network security by separating the control and AV networks. The HDMI Over IP Sender is designed for use with the Gefen Syner-G software, which simplifies initial IP configuration. The Sender and Receiver can be used as extenders in a one-to-one system, or as nodes in a virtual matrix environment where any source can be routed to any or all displays. This device is perfect for high-performance AV and signage systems in various settings, including sports bars, clubs, restaurants, boardrooms, command and control centers, museums, airports, classrooms, auditoriums, hotels, and retail establishments. The low-profile Sender and Receiver units can be rack-mounted using the Gefen EXT-RACK-1U-GRY rack tray (available separately), surface-mounted, placed on a shelf, or tucked away in an equipment closet or behind a display.
