Feels sturdy, but doesn't work with Glow 36" Octa

Got the item from accessories tab on the Glow 36" octa. The male snap works great and sturdy with the female snap on the other end of this short elastic band as well as on the internal diffuser of the 60" octa, but it is a tad too big for the female snaps on the interior diffuser of the Glow EZ Lock Quick Octa Large Softbox With Bowens Mount (36")... it just does not click, and there is no way of getting them to connect. Now, when they do connect, like on the 60", you have to sew the female end to your box... it seems more like an extender than a replacement, as there are no snaps on the softbox side of the elastic.
