The Glow Butterfly Scrim Kit is a massive light modifier that transforms any kind of strong light source from hard to soft, natural to artificial, over an impressive 12x12 foot diffusion surface panel. The structure consists of a collapsible aluminum frame that can be easily assembled and fitted with interchangeable light modifying, light absorbing or opaque screens. Left as is, the butterfly produces light that is softer and diffused compared to the bare raw power coming from a flash head.

Use this Grid for the 12x12' Butterfly and the disbursement of the light becomes directed and tame. The spread is reduced to about 30° and the output remains the same. While the image of the butterfly reflected in glossy products, catchlights in eyes and automotive subject will not continue to be sleek and uninterrupted, it will serve as the largest non-direct gridded window source available. The edge of the fabric grid is bound to the aluminum butterfly frame the same way as the diffusion material, with binding straps. Once connected, it is not going to come loose. And you are in butterfly control.
