Overall I think I'm happy with this purchase. It packs down tight and is easy to setup, mostly. Mine seems to be hard to get to lock when setting it up. Maybe it will break in some after usage.

This has been my go-to light modifier for my portable light stands. It has been very sturdy and easy to operate, which is very important. I also love the way it stores flatter than other light modifiers of it's kind.

Awesome execution overall, and great to have a large softbox setup so fast but the fabric is a bare minimum thickness, causing me to tear the fabric opening it normally. Parasnap boxes are only covered for one year so now I'm stuck with this useless octa that I can't repair with gaff tape due to the opening design.

I am pretty sure I'm not the only one disliking setting up a softbox. Probably because my arms are not long enough? or because I'm not strong enough? Whatever the reasons, I decided to try out this "New Generation" ParaSnap softbox, and it was so much easier to set it up that I immediately bought a second one and gave away my earlier versions. The ease of setting up this softbox will make you smile! Guaranteed!

Really easy to open, and I don't have the strongest hands. It may be that the rectangular ones (fewer poles) are easier than the octaboxes that some people are having issues with. I just wish it came in a larger size, but this does well at 3/4 length images. I've only used it a few times so far, but the quality seems to be better than my older octabox by the same company.

I love these things. I have 2 larger parasnaps, a 36 and 44. When these 12*36 went on sale, I grabbed 2.Most of the time I am on the road or traveling. The diffusion and lighting adapters stay on when they go in their bags so it makes it super easy for transport and set up. It takes me 10 minutes to set 3 lights up when I get to where I am going. I can't say enough about these.

I tried purchasing the ez lock equivalent strip box and was just so meh about it when it arrived, I returned it and bought the parasnap. I already owned a 36" parasnap. It makes me smile when I use it. The build quality is wonderful, both the interior and exterior material. The opening mechanism is just so quick and easy, it packs down flat so I can fit multiple side by side in my studio kit along the tripods. If you do any location work these are a must buy. I just received the 14x60 and the 44" octo. Both are the same quality and convince of the 36" Now I feel my collection is complete and my studio bag has never looked so organized. Can't say enough good things about this product. I have seen that other companies have started creating this design but I didn't feel the need to test as Glow did it so damn good. So I clearly love the product, why 4 stars? One negative is you have to by the grid separately. $60 dollars a piece. This is almost the cost of cheaper modifier. especially with the strip box this is essential, at 250 dollars I feel it should include the grid.

Compact for travel, happy with my purchase but beware when you undo or loosen the Parasnap and make sure to keep it away from your face. ?? I'd buy a few more if they were just a sniffer less expensive.

I got two 36" Parasnaps for free when buying two Flashpoint strobes during a promotion. I bought the 44" for in-studio use as a result of my positive experience with this particular light modifier was on sale. I use three different strobe systems. Dynalite, Buff and Flashpoint/Godox . It's great that I can adapt to each without as much as a push of a button. EZ-PZ. Great product.

These were free w/purchase for a while, so why not. Right? But the versatility is awesome. EZ-style deployment and can adapt to almost any light head with a push of a button. Some say the interior fabric produces a cool color temperature. Haven't experienced, but easily tuned in post.

Couple of observations keep it from being 5 stars. 1. Fully assembly it does not measure 44". It is clearly 42". 2. I you lack grip strength of a lumberjack, have carpal tunnel, or tennis elbow... Do not purchase! See attached photo

This soft box folds down flat and can be used in studio or out in the field. You can even fit a small light stand in the carry bag for convenience.

The quality of construction of the 44" ParaSnap is good. It does take fairly strong hand grips to snap it open and I can see how someone with weaker hands may have some trouble. The optional eggcrate does bow slightly (maybe an inch?) outward when the softbox is pointed down. With only the outer diffusion panel in place, you do get a mild linear hotspot across the front with the two different brand lights that I used with it (as seen in the photo.) I don't notice on the object being lit, however. If it bothers you, you can always add in the inner diffusion panel. The light is very soft and I prefer the additional output of only the single diffusion panel. One of the things that sold me on the softbox was a youtube video showing the user releasing the structural supports (snapping it down toward the floor,) giving the softbox and lightstand a bear hug, and moving the lightstand with ParaSnap en masse through doorways to a new location. Nice!

No clue what took me so long to purchase this softbox. Quality of light paired with a Nanlite Forza 500 is fantastic. Build quality is exceptional - was not expecting it to be this good. Like it so much I also got the smaller size (and will be buying some Profoto mounts, so I can use them with my B10 pluses. Really, really impressed with this product.

I mostly shoot on location; as such, I have to have equipment that can be set up fast. The Glow ParaSnap 36" Octa does the job. It sets up in a snap, just as the name says. Together with my Flashpoint AD600 Pro, it produces a soft light that creates beautiful skin tones and colors that my clients love. It is also light, combined with the XP600 Pro Extension head; the strobe set is not top heavy, a good thing to have on location when winds can be unpredictable. In addition, changing mounts is also a snap if you need to mount it in a different strobe system. I am so impressed with its performance that I bought a second unit.

So I'm new to flash photography but I feel I am getting into this as a wonderful time. I have another octobox and after using this one I feel lucky to have it. My other octobox is also a Glow but this one is far better quality, the reflector material has far more texture than expected and the exterior cloth seems very durable. There is a weight gain with the quality but I feel it is worth it. The setup is basically instant. Once you have your grid and diffusers in place you can just open and close it from the base. I only have bowens mounts but it's nice to have the versatility going forward if I need it. It's just such a pleasure on setup and breakdown that I complete forgot that I struggled to pull the trigger based on price.

I got a chance to play around with this with my lights. Seems to be about a half stop faster then Parapop. Easy to open and folds flat for suitcase. You could fold couple of these and put couple ad300s and 2 lightweight lightstands in a pretty small sized suitcase for location and travel. They have a whole line coming out. Would be interesting to have 4-5 softboxes that took up no space.

the Parasnap is aptly names as it is a snap to open with one hand, a cinch to connect especially with the low profile Flalshpoint mount. The light quality is great with soft even light that is still sharp and precise with smooth highlights and detail. Definitely getting another maybe the larger size as a match with another Xplorer 300. Now my deep huge parabolic sits on the shelf for now as this is so convenient.

I've been using soft boxes since back when the medium Chimera box was the location lighting standard. Getting that last aluminum pole into the speed ring was a challenge, more so getting it out when breaking down the set. Fast forward to the Rotalux and it was like some sort of sick joke to set up, and again, worse to take down. Nice light, great color and shaping, but way too much of a PITA. The first iteration of the Flashpoint easy-setup softbox, the Parapop, was a step in the right direction. But the largest option was still a little small, and it was too easy for the rods to come apart. I had to fix it multiple times. Now we get the ParaSnap. This thing is awesome. Much heavier duty than the Parapop, much deeper, more like the shape of the Rotalux, larger and with great light color and control. It is ridiculously easy to set up and take down. Maybe ten seconds each. Will I miss the days of letting my assistants spend an hour trying to figure out how to take apart the softbox? You bet. But I'll still take this over anything else I've used for portraits. Can't wait to get the grid for this one.

This is the way all soft boxes should be made. Very convenient especially for photographers like me who works outdoors with strobes. Also, it is light, so it is easy to carry around different locations.

Ease of setup, quality of light, even ease of storage are all excellent. My only complaint is the lack of a grid that will fit it, for the price one should have been included.
