A versatile, well-made umbrella at a great price. I would rate the quality on par with Westcott or other brands that produce umbrellas for photography applications. I appreciate durability and features for a good to great price. Portable studio modifiers can suffer greater exposure to elements that wear them and tear them up, even when a photographer is careful with those modifiers. So, it doesn't make much sense to me to overspend on lighting modifiers. The appropriate approach, imo, is to find the balance between quality and cost and invest in there. Glow hits that balance for me. I have used this umbrella on multiple occasions and I have been pleased with the quality and performance of the umbrella. It's slightly smaller than the 70" Westcott umbrella I own, but performs just as admirably. I'd recommend you consider it.

This umbrellas actually lays flat when closed which makes it easy to fit in my rolling cart. It feels very strong when opened.

Love the pebble textured surface. It's like profoto without the cost. The material could be a little thicker, but I'm sure that's why the price point is where it is.

It fits. While very thin and wrinkly, it does diffuse the light enough to create a soft box effect, only requiring more feathering than a traditional softbox would. The appearance is semi shoddy in front of clients to be honest, but it works and it's cheap.

The fabric is perfect for diffusing light. The light wraps around the subject very well and produces a very professional ambient light. The only thing that I could criticize about this model type from Glow is the stem. It feels very thin and hollow. With the umbrella open, holding the end of the stem, you really see the stem bending. In most cases, you're probably not going to mount the stem as you see in the picture but if you do, I can see it bending if you have the stem parallel to the floor or perpendicular to the mounting support. I am using this in the studio but I think if you were to use it outdoors, perhaps consider something with a stronger stem. Other than that, it opens and closes easily. It doesn't change the hue of light. Overall, the function of this umbrella is great. Just be aware of the stem.

my favorite modifier so far. Easy to use with the diffusion face, quick setup and can do full length portraits if needed. IMages were awesome, i can use it with the deep parabolic or by itself if needed.

I have had an opportunity to use this umbrella on a couple of shoots. In one instance I set up a photo booth using this umbrella and AD200 as main light, Nikon D750 on a tripod and a remote trigger. The set-up worked flawlessly all night and guests ended up with fantastic portraits and small group shots. This umbrella delivered soft, evenly dispersed lighting.

Excellent umbrella! I'm using the diffuser with it and it will make a nice alternative to my softbox when I need to be able to set up and take down lighting quickly. Feels and looks very solid. The materials feel durable.

Great Deep Umbrella Modifier. It really did what it was sent out to do. Definitely worth the money and it's also serves at different ranges as focused light modifier by pulling the umbrella closer to the light (strobe).
