My partner has been using this umbrella for years and I had to get one for myself. Works great for event photography and headshots.

excellent product

If you find yourself shooting in spaces where there are low ceilings this is a must have product.  I find that it works best with a bare bulb strobe or flash rather than a flash with a fresnel head. But if all you have is a speed light with a fresnel head then zoom out the fresnel head as wide as it will go.

Low ceilings? Then this is a must have.

Using this umbrella with a speedlight creates beautiful, soft light. However, the 32" closed size in the Specs refers to the umbrella only. Unfortunately, the shaft protrudes another six inches, making it much less portable. I was hoping to fit it into luggage when traveling... At 38" total closed length, that won't happen.

Misleading Specs

Great modifiers but not as big as they say. 88 Measures 64" and 60" measures 45".

Smaller Than Advertised.

Excellent light modifier, good for single or group portraits. Easy to transport and set up.

Beautiful light

Exactly as expected (what, another umbrella?) Yes, wanted the larger size without the overhead size, which makes this handier for short ceilinged rooms.

Its large but beautiful light. The ability to go horizontal or vertical is great. much easier than similar sized softbox.

Great light modifier

60" Wing Umbrella is big. I was able to light a large group in a small room with low ceiling and got even light with 16mm on my D850 - NICE! Well built, easy open/close.  Would definitely recommend

Seems good enough for the money. Not super high build quality, but not bad. It will serve a purpose when I?m shooting with low ceilings.

Seems decent

This thing works beautifully, as a device to evenly light a large area, as a soft fill light and, when used vertically, to act as a primary light for a full-length portrait. It is much faster to set up and break down than a soft box.

I have many soft boxes but only a couple seems to give me what I want and this is one.The light that comes from the bounce is soft. It wraps around the subject matter so nicely. I’m planning on getting the smaller one as well.

Exactly what I was looking for

I have been using this umbrella for about 5-6 weeks. Even though I only opened and closed it a couple of times one of the tips linking the rib to the fabric of the umbrella came undone. I was able to re-insert it with some difficulty. I think this umbrella is fragile and would not use it outdoors as it is likely to break down with a gentle breeze. Its worth noting that any umbrella of this size would be problematic outdoors unless you have about 30 to 40 pounds weighing down the base of the stand. For the positive I will state that it produces a very nice wrap-around light which can be focused from a large area of coverage to a small area by adjusting the distance of the umbrella to the strobe. When you do have your strobe close to the umbrella you lose the parabolic effect. I am using a Flashpoint XPLOR 600 watt second strobe with a reflector mounted on the strobe. I purchased this umbrella during a marked reduction of price and if you are going to restrict its use to a studio then I would say go ahead and get it.

I love the Glow EZ Lock Wing-Like Parabolic Fiberglass Umbrella. I have all three sizes the 45, 60 and 88" . I use them in low ceiling shoots. The quality is great and the soft light spread works out perfectly. I'm happy with my purchase.

Only used the 88 inch one shoot but has an expanded coverage of quality light I have found with the two smaller sizes.
I've read reviews about all of the wing like parabolic being flimsy but I have always used care with all photo equipment and have not experienced any concerns after 25 or more uses of all of my Glow wing likes.

Had the smaller model and very happy with it. When this unit was on sale I ordered it and only use has been miscellaneous test shots. Additional coverage was experienced in tests and expect same with project subject

Flimsy construction, priced low for a reason I guess.  Not sure how long it will last.  Only real use in my opinion is with low ceilings.
