After initially receiving the panel and charging I was quite happy with this, however, once inside the Grand Canyon for a 15 day trek, the panel failed miserably. Unable to charge, regardless of multiple attempts, I was at the mercy of my companions to be able to charge my devices.

I have lived with out electricity for over 75 days Becuase I bought the Nomad 20 Solor Panel and the Sherpa 100. Really really amazing product . I also bought numerous cables and flashlights from them. All worth their weight in Gold. I have been back backing this entire time . This panel is incredible.

This is just a must-have item. Great for camping. I've been using mine to power a mobile office-- doing work on the beach or in the woods is way nicer than being inside all day. Let the sun power your electronics, it just makes more sense.

Good bit of gear! Just did 7 day canoe trip, running the Nomad 20 panel with a Yeti 150 on my CPAP ResMed Airsense 10 machine and it worked for the most part. You have to get a bit lucky to get enough sunshine, but I found it still gathered a bit of a charge even in indirect sunlight when the sun reaches the horizen. As for water resistance this thing is AMAZING. Was rained on every day and even partially dropped in a lake - submerged half the panel surface briefly. Didn't affect function at all.

Bought a Nomad 20 to replace the Nomad 7. Which was given away with a Flip 20 as a gift.

I have been a satisfied customer of Goal Zero products over the years and looked to them again when searching out a solar panel specifically for my amateur radio "go kit". The Nomad 20 had the right wattage but looked too pricey at first. Turns out, the Nomad 20 has worked extremely well for me, not only for ham radio but also camping and hiking. The product is a nice balance between portability and power, and is well designed. On the back, the unit has various power "taps" that are clearly labelled (USB, chaining, etc.). I modified one of the adapters that came with the unit to have 30A Anderson Powerpole connectors (commonly used in amateur radio), so I can connect the panel to a solar controller and recharge my 2 12V portable batteries (see pic). For its weight and size, the panel puts out a lot of power - enough power to recharge the batteries and my iPhone at the same time in moderately bright sunlight. As a bonus, the panel came with carabiners making it a snap to hang off a backpack or other support structure.

I bought this for my emergency kit which I have assembled mostly in case of earthquake. We want to be able to stay in communication should power be out for a considerable length of time. We have paired this with the Flip 30 and a similar device. The panels are probably overkill, but the benefit of this pairing is faster results. We tested the Nomad 20 on a sunny day and brought the charge of a Flip 30-type device from about a third to full in under 4 hours. We moved the panels (slightly) twice during that time to maximize sun exposure. All was easy and effective. Considering our purpose for purchase, we hope not to need the Nomad 20, but if we do, it's good to know we have it and it works.

I bought three of these to go with a Sherpa 100 and during my testing they worked perfectly and recharged the Sherpa 100 in just a few hours in full sun. Fantastic product in my opinion. All the plugs on the back of the panels are idiot proof, easy to use and work just as advertised.

Panels seem to degrade; Within two years, two of my Nomad 20 panels were broken and would only produce 1 watt. Also on the back (where the wires connect) needed to be soldered and repaired. One if the panels had already been replaced when I bought them as the glue and stitching were coming apart! The did replace the panels which were great, but again the quality of the products degrade a lot spin a short time.

This panel is probably only the commercial product which can have multiple outlets such as mini solar port, USB port, chaining port and 20W solar port. So, if you want to charge high capacity Goalzero products, Yeti or Sherpa series, this is the solution. But quite expensive than similar power solar panels in the market. Now I'm enjoying this panel with Yeti 150 everyday. No problem at all as Goalzero advertised.

As someone else mentioned, it pairs great with a Sherpa! It is a little weak with a Yeti 400, but I still give it 5 stars. Powers an iPhone 6 like a champ. Pictured here at the beach on the Carolina coast keeping my iPhone and my RockOut 2 charged and providing tunes all day long. I have several Goal Zero products and the all work great!

I bought the Sherpa 50 and had been using it, it worked just fine but I wanted something a little better. I sold the solar panel to a friend to carry on his motorcycle and bought the Nomad 20.

Super!!!!

The panels are sturdy and the panel charges any battery fairly quickly if in direct sun light. I personally chain mine to a nomad 7. I gave it a 4/5 because the chaining cable isn't that long and the panels have no cleaning tools or anything of that sort.

I have been using the Nomad 7 for a while and loved it however I was always wanting a little extra power to have things charge quicker. I stepped up to the Nomad 20 and that was perfect. Charges quick and I can use it on so many more things. It's fast, powerful and not that much larger to carry. It has definitely become the go to panel!

I bought my Nomad 2 over a year ago to power a portable fan at my kids' soccer games way down in Alabama. It works like a champ. I was so impressed I bought a a Guide 10 plus to charge my phone while traveling for work. I was so impressed with the entire setup that I bought the same setup for both of my kids! Goal Zero rocks!

I bought the nomad 20 for when I go camping and back packing and it help keep my truck battery charged. My friend and I got to our camp site and we cranked the tunes In The truck while we were setting up camp. Well after a couple beers and shots we played the music most the day into the night not thinking to start truck up and you can guess what happen next morning, dead battery. But I placed the panel out attached the clips I bought and it charged my battery enough to crank it over and start with another fun fill day with jams. But I love the fact it charges the guide 10 and that keeps all my small lanterns going. My goal is to get another panel for my back up pack and when I get the yeti 400. Great products. Keeps camping fun!

Nomad 20's and Sherpa 100's pair nicely
By Chris D.
Recently took a three day kayak trip with my dog on the Potomac River. I used two Nomad 20's to recharge two Sherpa 100's to run my CPAP each night. The "floating solar array" worked great and the sherpas fit nicely in the zippered compartments on the back of each Nomad. A Torch250 also kept my iPhone powered to 100% all day despite some pretty hungry navigation apps. Lastly, my little solo flashlight strapped to the top of the kayak kept my evenings lit without attracting too much bug attent...
