Bought this about a year and a half ago...waste of money. Charged a few times and it worked great. I would say that about on the 10th cycle it started to no longer fuly charge no matter how long I left it in. Poor quality.

I bought this battery a few years ago and have used it fairly regularly. This morning, however, I went to charge it, and it started producing a really strong burning smell. I immediately unplugged it and will have to recycle since I assume the battery is going bad. Just disappointed it didn't last very long. As someone else mentioned, it's also poor design and it's hard to charge because the battery is too heavy to hang off the USB port, so I'd always have to prop it up with things to get it to stay. I will be going with a different product in the future to get better value for the price.

Bought this day before yesterday so I could cover the emergency line while camping and have extra charge just in case. Does not charge my Note 8. After looking around online I discovered it is not powerful enough. The packaging should indicate it is too weak to power many smart phones. I gave one star becasue the packaging and information from the company did not indicate anything other than this would provide 2-3 charges to a smart phone.

Purchased 2 to recharge my wife and my cell phones. My wife is currently between phones but I’ve been using mine when my iPhone’s battery was running low. I’ve found the flip20 performance to be unreliable. I’ll plug it into my phone and about 50% of the time it doesn’t recognize/ begin changing. I’ll unplug and reinstall the plug 3 or 4 times. Sometimes this would work. I’ve read comments from goal zero suggesting the problem was low quality cable. The factory cable works great for auto/home charging. If cable is so critical, why doesn’t goal zero increase price a bit and include a “suitable” cable?

I've charged my phone for approximately 20 times before this thing wouldn't take a charge. No idea why an expensive tool won't work anymore. Very Disappointed!

I ordered the Flip 20 Recharger, which was delivered fast, and performed as advertised. A friend had just purchased a competitors version at Target, which provided two charges, and was priced the same, but it was slightly larger, which would matter to me. I think I will buy a couple more of these for Christmas gifts.

I love this charger. It looks great, it works great, I love the size and shape, it fits nicely in your hand. The USB connection for charging is a plus because it can be plugged in without a separate adapter, plus it can be rotated at any angle. Bonus: it fits perfectly when plugged directly into the Yeti 400 lithium USB outlet.

I've had my Goal Zero for about 5 months. I use it as a back up for my phone and keep it in my purse. Had been thrilled with the quick charge and have recommended it to friends. However, on my drive home today I had it charging in my car and it appeared to catch fire, it started smoking heavily! I pulled it out of the charger and it stopped smoking but is now dead and the car smells like an electrical fire. I'm now afraid to replace it. What if this had been at my home and I was in another room or asleep? It was frightening.

It worked fine charging my phone but when I went to re-charge it for the first time it would only charge to 25% then to get it to charge another 25% you would have to unplug it and plug it back up and then you were lucky if it charged it took me over a week of fooling with it just to get it charged up to 50%

Over time I have purchased several Goal Zero products. By far, the one Goal Zero product that I use on a daily basis is the Flip 20 Recharger. As the battery in my IPhone becomes unstable, the Flip 20 becomes more and more important.

I love Goal Zero products and use them extensively. But this recharger is a dud. Whenever I try to recharge the recharger, it fails due to the design. It's too heavy to hang off the charging port in the wall. It eventually slides or comes loose enough to not take a charge. I hope future designs have an improved method of recharging.

This is my second one. I had to replace one that was stolen. I think Goal Zero makes solid products! You will not regret getting a Flip 20 charger!

I purchased this along with three mini lights (one lantern and two spot lights) for a 3 day winter backpacking trip in Sweden. I used the Flip 20 to run my spot lights and also charge my iPhone. It was able to last over 3 days but was clearly a bit sensitive to the cold. On the 3rd day, when our cabin got down to about 4ºC at night, the Flip 20 didn't seem to have much juice. I warmed it by the woodstove and it came back to life. This is probably true of nearly all Li ion batteries, but worth noting if you're planning on using this during the winter.

Performs its basic function quite poorly. If my phone (DROID TURBO by Motorola)is completely discharged, plugging in the Flip does not allow me to make a phone call. If I turn the phone off and plug in a fully charged Flip 20, it adds about 10% to the charge in the first HOUR.

This is my second Goal Zero power unit ... the first remains a Guide 10 Plus unit, but it doesn't have enough oomph (technical term) to charge my smartphone. The Flip 20 is just as easy to use, and has plenty of power for updated electronics.

I purchased the Flip 20 last year on Black Friday to provide the extra charge required to last me during the holidays. It seems like I am always using my phone more by taking photos/videos and posting on all my social media. The Flip 20 has been a life saver by giving me the security when I need to charge my phone. Bought one for me and my parents. I have used mine several times so far and get two full charges on my iPhone 6S. I also purchased one for my parents for them to use while at the beach, hiking etc. knowing that each can get a full charge if needed. I have paired it with my Nomad 20 and get a full charge in a few hours.

I love my Flip 20. It is so convenient, especially when traveling. It is small and light and fits easily into my purse, even a small one I use when traveling. I probably get about 3 Iphone charges out of it!

Works well for the most part. It usually stops charging my phone without using all of its power up. It will charge my phone most of the way, but then I have to hit the button to make it start again and then within a few mins it stops charging again.

I bought this just to take backpacking so I can charge my phone at night and take as many pics as necessary. I found myself using it everyday and now all my friends want 1. This is the most durable, compact, and lightweight portable charger for its size. Definitely worth the price for an all around good product.

I bought this when it came out as an addition to my old Switch 8 (which my wife has taken). It is an awesome little charger, lightweight and extremely easy to use. I carry it on a daily basis and it works great for traveling (both on road and off). It will easily charge two smart phones. I will be buying another one for my daughter who will be going off to college next year!
