Works well to make a controlled, medium sized circle of light with AD400. But it becomes super useful when combined with Cinefoil and a clip, allowing the circle of light to be shaped. In fact, it produces effects very close to barndoors. Just takes a little patient shaping of the foil. I did buy this to try it on my Litemons 200D, and the effects are good with it too. Most importantly, the design of this snoot allows airflow, so, even with my 200 Watt light at 100%, I can shoot for at least ten minutes without heat becoming an issue. I'm only using touch as a guide, not a thermometer, so you have to judge for yourself. But I can feel that the heat does not affect the COB until after ten minutes; the heat stays mainly at the midpoint of the snooty. After ten minutes it gets warm but not hot near the COB. In other words, it is workable on the Litemons, but I will keep checking it and turning off the light when not actually shooting. A typical budget snoot gets too hot almost immediately. I don't think I'd use any snoot on a COB light with more power than 200 W for long, and I'd be checking frequently. I know some will ding this for not including a grid or gels, but the circle of light is already well controlled, and it can be shaped with Cinefoil. A grid would be redundant, imo, and reduce light output for no gain. As for the gels, simply cut a sheet to fit the end of the snoot and use Bulldog mini-clips to attach. Two shots attached to this review show with and without Cinefoil. Portrait photographers can appreciate being able to shape the light. Cheers!
