Hard to figure how it works
Got as a gift. It records but I can't view them, edit them or do anything with it other than watch it record. The manual is not helpful

Bluetooth issues
I am unable to open the Garmin Drive app on my phone; it locks up on the first screen. The buttons on the unit do not work either.

Great features and ease of use
i just bought this dash cam a few days ago and its great! before you install it into your vehicle, download garmin express and do the updates. also download garmin to your phone and install so you can use all the features that come with your new dash cam. you'll be glad you did!

Postage stamp screen (Use to the garmin 45 scree)
I am pleased that Garming acted very fast on this problem. I did not realize that I was getting a postage stamp screen. Wish I had been told that the 46 screen was no bigger than a postage stamp. Oh Well

Great dashcam and support
My new Garmin dashcam 46 was easy to set up. It makes crisp video clips that contain a time stamp, vehicle speed, and exact location. I am impressed with the detailed user manual. Also, the Garmin webpages provide ample support. I had a problem connecting my smartphone with the dashcam -- it initially worked but then it started asking me for a password although it's not supposed to. The technical expert offered several solutions by chat and was very helpful but the problem seems to be with my phone. Overall, very pleased.

Good Camera, nice features
I bought this to replace my DC-55, which died after a year. So far, the DC-46 performs well, has a nice feature set and clear video. I like that, with the app, I can view the cam on my phone and edit or delete photos or videos on the cam.
I'll stop by next year if I suffer any of the issue with this cam that I had with the other one.

Great cam
I had the original garmin dash cam 20 then I got Blackburn witch I gave to my dad so I got the garmin dash cam 46 it's a great cam only issues I have with it was it didn't want to pair WiFi to my note 10 but I took the note 10 back and got iPhone and no issues pairing love the cam

Generall good except warning features
The collision avoidance and lane departure sensors are not helpful at all and generate lots of false warnings. But overall it is a good product.

works great, keeps you alerted to changing traffic
I received this as a gift. It works great as far as keeping you alert to changing traffic conditions which itself should help prevent accidents. I haven't had the misfortune of being in an accident while using it yet. I hope it stays that way.
The unit itself is very small and doesn't hinder my view of the road being on the windshield.
I can't say that I am very fond of the power wire having to be routed down. The wire has substantial memory and doesn't lay particularly flat when stretched out. It looks rather sloppy. There is no provision in my vehicle to "tuck" it away behind panels without causing damage to them.
Overall I am happy with it. I just need to clean up the wiring issue.

Great Pictures
When I opened the box I was surprised at how small it was. After I installed it and took it on a trial run, I was surprised again. The color and the definition of the picture is quite good. I love the voice command and take quite a few photo shots. I am happy with my purchase.

VERY high quality materials and video quality is much higher than the price would lead you to believe. iOS app is a bonus.

Garmin 46
Recieved this as a gift this x mass. Overall basic install was simple. Features on the camera are decient right in the middle of the min and max available. Uploading latest firmware was simple and easy. Installing the app on my phone was simple as well.
Wish garmin would create one app to rule them all. I currently have 2 Harmon apps on my phone. One for navigation and one for the dash cam 46.
Only thing I think would improve the product is to include the hard wire kit in the bundle and give the buyer the option to hard wire the camera and use to it full potential or choose the 12v option. It would have been nice to have the option come with the dash cam.
Other than that. I'm happy and feel more protected on the road. Thanks Garmin for the great product and value.

Well Worth It
Even though this is the lower resolution model, I've found it perfectly adequate for my needs. The camera controls are straight forward to understand and use. My only "complaint" is with the installation directions. They don't mention that the mount incorporates a magnet internal to it that remains adhered to the windshield. An extra magnetic disk is included and it's not clear if the extra is to be attached to the windshield and then the mount attached to it, or if the mount itself is attached directly. The mount attached directly and adheres to the glass. Pulling the mount off leaves the magnetic disk behind for subsequent remounts and removals. It works great, just could use a clearer explanation as to installation of the mount.

Great little Dash-Cam
Love it. So small and the build is of quality. I owned 5 different chinese brands and it all quit after 4 months. I hope this one will last at least a year.

Garmin dash cam 46
This review is after 3 days. Received Garmin 46 and set up took some time but was fairly easy. Downloaded Garmin drive app and was able to crop and export selected video to my iPhone. So after three days I haven't had any issues. Now to see how long it last,....

Very useful.
Most of features are very good. I use it for daily work and store most of my customers' locations on it. This creates a problem in that I have contacts over most of the city and when I call up a location to go to, I have so many other landmarks showing up on the map that I can't see streets because of so many landmarks showing on the screen and have to try to get them off the screen as I'm driving. How can I disable showing so many landmarks on the map when I'm driving and not have to fumble with the screen when I should have both hands on the wheel to drive?

Great Connectivity
I bought my Dash cam 46 to replace an older non Garmin camera. It is a great upgrade for sure. The ability to connect to the camera with the Garmin Drive app is a great feature. It is so much easier to save pictures and video files. The resolution is very clear and the video sound is also very clear. Very happy with purchase.

Pros:
- Convenient magnetic attachment
- Two power cables with different length
- Android app with intuitive design and functionality
- Voice control
- Time lapse, lane departure, traffic movement and collision alerts
Cons:
- No options for the length of video recording
- Alerts tones sound cheap and could be better

Extra Insurance
Bought the camera for my Ford F-150. Checked with the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Dash cam is OK, they recommend it. Its installed on the windshield behind the Mirror where its almost out of sight.

Great little unit
This is a small unit and I love it. I am still learning to use it. We will be taking a 5000 mile road trip and I plan to use it to record some of this trip. I have plans to download it to my LP and make a nice keepsake for our family.
