Screen has gone black and staid that way several times?. Takes too long to find its own self when you turn it on?. Has trouble searching for an address? it's a weak backup for navigating with my iphone? has many nice useless features ? try doing one thing right.. navigation? everyone has a phone for the rest

Been running it for a couple years now. I often travel out of state, or at least out of my normal range, so it's navigation features are welcome. Often when running with a favorite ridding partner we search for "squiggle line roads" to explore. On interstate running it's handy to run roads less used for less congestion, lower speeds and the opportunity to "smell the roses". Wonderful when passing through "small town America" seeing scenic places and meeting warm and compassionate locals. At my advanced age I travel more relaxed usually without any time constraints. The "alerts" popping up have been very useful and the exit pictures with boldly painted exit lanes very useful, thank you. Scanning ahead for refuel opportunities is nice as is destination arrival time. There may be a mileage countdown function, I've not yet found it being a bit electronically challenged, but might enjoy that feature as well. On especially long runs I'll purposely deviate from the given route to engage in conversation with the charming female voice trying to navigate me back to the primary routing. I don't play music or use the phone so it's nice to engage with"another". Working my way off route while exploring I always have the option of returning to the established route and have directions to follow in accomplishing just that, again, thank you. I haven't had any issues with the unit separating from the mount as reported by others but a small issue for me is the loss off power through the mount as I run down the road. I've learned that grasping the unit and moving it slightly in it's mount brings power right back. I do keep the power feed covered when the unit is removed, and will clean the contacts with a q-tip and denatured alcohol or contact cleaner. After over 60 years of riding ownership has brought me out of the dark ages and I hope to continue enjoying this for quite some time to come. Thanking you once again, respectfully, P.F.Henderson

I love the GPS but I'm already looking at replacing it with something else. With what I don't know but the fact that Garmin didn't include support for their TPMS sensors boggles my mind. Maybe an update can fix it but come on Garmin! Isn't this supposed to be a top tier product? Fix that problem and I'll be a happy XT user willing to give it 4-5 stars. I will also say the interface with the phone and helmet coms is still a little clunky and buggy. But the TPMS issue is the proverbial straw for me. There is a gps unit from Europe that looks like it will fit my needs.

I had this on my GS behind a windscreen. Unfortunately the device came off from the mount and was trashed when it fell onto the ground (highway speed). Be careful with the mount

Why can't garmin make a product that integrates with an app. If you have this, you will go through many many steps to try to load a route......to which point it won't. Google maps is answer.

This zumo XT replaced a 10+year old unit. Though the old unit worked well, the newer one is significantly improved. Screen visibility in all light levels is great as well as the Bluetooth connectivity.

I've had it for a couple of years now, used only for motorcycle riding. Very happy with the purchase. It gives me concise information in a precise configuration that is easy to read. Would highly recommend!

I have used my Zumo XT in all of N. America and it has worked flawlessly. My trips to Mexico are as finite as I want them to be.

I've been using this without pre planning and it is so easy to program last minute, easy to follow entries. My friend was amazed how easy to program and said he has to get one and I suggested the XT2 with the 6 inch screen.

I've owned an XT for over 2 years, bought it after I bought a 2021 Triumph Tiger Rally Pro - which has a proprietary on-board navigation. Like many on-board systems, it is essently useless for off-road navigation. The XT is easy to use, large, bright, and rugged. I still haven't used all its features. The only downside to the XT is that Garmin support software products for trip planning are not very Apple-verse friendly, despite the 2 billion Apple product users worldwide, and Garmin needs to improve that.

Love my Zumo XT. Works awesome. Bright screen. Works with riding gloves. Only complaint is it came loose from its base once and when it hit the dirt road the screen got scratched. 99pecent of the time the base holds it secure. I guess I should have a tether on it!

I've had mine for almost a year now. I use every time I go out west , because when you can't get a mobile signal you can always get a satellite signal. If you intend to get out in the maze of gravel roads in Northern MT. of Central WY. it will help you tremendously, that is if you want the assistance? Some folks like to wander aimlessly which is just fine too. I got mine from Touratech and they included a locking cradle. I highly recommend any adv rider having one.

the size of the screen is perfect and all the menu options are intuitive very easy to navigate. asks you if you made a fuel stop after power down and power up to reset the fuel usage very nice option. one problem i have found using this for riding my adventure bike is that it will not route you off the pavement through forest service roads or no name roads even though they are clearly visible on the map. this makes it hard to get distances when on the back roads. seems odd for a device marketed towards adventure bikes and overlanding whatever that only wants to keep you on the pavement. even when you choose adventurous for the route. great for pavement not great for exploring.

It's rugged . Screen size is good. Brightness and contrast good in bright sunlight. Touch screen works well with gloves. Garmin's customer interface is behind the times. Phone apps like Gaia are easier to use and read the detail of tracks better

When following a route that I made on base camp it sometimes changes route. The real problem is it has me do u-turns or go out of my way to go back to waypoint that I already passed. I figured out how to go pass this by touching turn and hitting GO to next waypoint.

I updated from an older Garmin zumo last year to the XT and could not be more happy with the new device. Upgraded screen is so much better and easier to see during the day. The greater ease in building a route to group curvy roads together is also so much easier on the new device. Very happy I made the upgrade.

I've had a handful of gps's over the years and the XT is the first one that I can actually see when the sun is behind me. All of the other ones were useless in that situation. And I feel that I have only tapped about 20% of the power of the XT. I'd like to take a class on the capabilities of the XT.

I bought it for the MID ATLANTIC BDR mixed with historic site in Pennsylvania and Virginia too. I love the way he can create some road for motorcycle by itself with different level of twisty road. The big screen is very bright and it is game changing in history of adventure gps even if you don't have a shade protection above it. It is a breath to understand and so practical, very responsive and intuitive too. I can't wait to explore more of this little guy.

I've used my Zumo XT domestically and internationally for quite sometime. I haven't had accuracy issues. Relevance - Easy to plan trips with accompanying features like accommodations, food and service locations. Other support features and apps allow for easy overlanding.

Works good with Google "my maps" to import into Basecamp as a track and convert to a route. . Warning, the XP2 when connected to Basecamp, gives a warning that it might not be combatable with Basecamp. It does still work. If Garmin drops Basecamp, I will sell all my Garmin GPS's. My primary use is to draw a route on "my maps" and import it into Basecamp so I can load into the GPS.

I bought my unit a few years ago and for the most part I love it. Being a long distance rider I plot my courses out and plug in all my stops ahead of time. The one issue I have encountered is that the unit will for no reason change to a straight line and not follow the predetermined coarse. I have to stop turn it off and restart the trip. It is annoying but there is not a current fix for it. Other than that I love it.

Purchased a second Zumo XT for my husbands new BMW. I have a Zumo XT and love it!!! Although I purchased the Europe map since we are riding in Germany France and Belgium. Can not download to laptop not good! Must have Zumo attached to laptop and it takes soooo long to create a route and forget an adventure my laptop is less than a year old and it's not this slow when I use the NA map stored on my laptop. Very disappointed with this but I love the Zumo XT

I've been driving and riding the back roads of Vermont and Norther New York State for 40 years and I thought I knew all the roads - but my Garmin sumo XT continues to introduce me to shortcuts and interesting roads to ride that I never knew existed. I also have gotten to love the ability to get elevation, weather, speed limit information with ease. I can not imagine riding without it. My only regret is I am sure it can do much more than I know and at my age, struggle to figure out ALL the features.

The GPS itself is fantastic. The mount though is not good as i had to replace my unit because my previous one popped out of the mount on the highway. This GPS needs a tether so it can be secured to ones motorcycle so if the mount fails the gps does not go flying off the bike

Being a foreigner, I traveled by motorcycle from Florida to California via Mount Rushmore, about 4000 mi. Could you add the State I am crossing? For example, next to Hwy number.

Used this for a few years and then it would not charge. Found out the pins on the handlebar mount can get bent. Not sure how it happened but it is a widely known issue. I had to pay for a replace t handlebar mount. The replacement also failed after a few months. This one was covered under warranty.
