I traded up from the Approach G80 and am blown away by the functionality of the R10. Range sessions are fun. The Garmin software for range sessions is not as good as a third party software called Awesome Golf. Overall, very happy with the Approach R10 purchase and will likely pay the subscription for the Awesome Golf software.

I have a lot of fun playing courses or just on the range in my back yard. I am satisfied with my purchase.

This launch monitor is awesome. Compared to my top tracer range stats, this thing is pretty accurate. Exactly what I wanted. I can learn lots about my golf game just hitting in my backyard. Love it

Bought it a few weeks ago, took a while and had to mess around on different apps but once it started working it's been really nice.

Have had it for 4weeks and set up in my garage. I am disappointed in yardage results with woods. It is showing about 20 yards shorter than my average drive. Shorter clubs results seem to be closer to actual.

I love the attack angle, face path, and back spin readings. Helps me developed my game. The side spin is lacking though. Took it to the range and sliced a few. My shot went 40 yards left yet garmin showed it going straight. Need more consistency on side spin.

Really like the ease of setup and seeing my numbers instead of just hitting into a net over and over and not seeing the ball flight. What a difference it has made!

I just got this a couple of weeks ago. I love it because it is nice and portable and pairs well with my Android and iPad. I am still working out some of the kinks in my setup. Works well my driving net and read when inside. I did have a slight issue when hitting into my net outside with the wind moving the net itself. The app works well and worth the money.

Always set up and connection to my phone App and camera. Great to get stats on distance for each club.

I returned the Approach R10 because the measurements didn't match the reality. I was using the R10 on the range and it measured my shots about 20%-25% less than their actually carry or total. It calibrated the R10 and was hitting off a mat with the R10 raised to the same level as the mat. I was using regular golf balls, not special golf balls designed for use with a simulator. After several sessions with the R10, I decided to return it.

I've really enjoyed the unit. I use it in my garage with RCT golf balls and it's been great. It doesn't like fans or wind though so be aware of that. If the wind moves your net it will go to red and show busy and miss the shot. A fan will cause it to stay red and not work. I much prefer awesome golf and E6 software as well.

I love the R10. It's easy to set up and use. I'd love to see the app include more data like angle of attack and smash factor, but the driving range app and data that is available is great. It's good to see the shot tracker and distance info.

Great, easy to use, set up and run. Great battery life. Fantastic instant feedback on club-path, face-angle, ... Issues with distance on long clubs (driver, 3-wood...), also some issues with wedges on distances when hitting targets that I shot with my range-finder. Also -- the courses are great to play.... but.... with long-distances off, can be a bit counter-productive (deflating) because I know I hit a tee shot ~230 yards (to a target on the range) and the game shows a 160-yard shot (I know wind, lie, elevation, ... but come on now). A software update to address the distance would be great.

Owned the device for approximately two weeks, don't have an actual indoor setup yet, so using a net and hitting mat at first. Had a good bit of trouble with it not picking up shots so researched and found examples of people trying different options but almost all had a grass mat in front of the hitting mat. I bought turf to use for now and placing the net 7' in front, the simulator 7' behind, it is now tracking 95% of the shots reliably. There are still a few misses but 3 out of 35+ isn't too bad. Also recommend getting the stabilizing stand to ensure the device is level. Decided to go with Awesome Golf right now, bought the lifetime membership and use the range stats often. I have a 9.5 GHIN right now, and found that it really helped me understand a number of things I was struggling to figure out. Playing today, I had a 13 shot improvement on the same course I butchered a couple days ago; maybe luck but I took the work from the simulator sessions to the course and loved the results, even had distance improvements. I plan to learn more about the stats and how they can improve my game further, and we're already researching what it will take to build a full indoor setup with the screen and projector. We'll consider the e6 app once we have that in place so we can play courses I may never get to play in real life. Couldn't be happier with the purchase!

Purchased this device a little more than a month ago. Very useful when I am on the range. Along with the app, I have data that can be used to look at my golf swing.

Never thought I could have a golf simulator on demand. Been playing golf since I was 7, competitive high school and college. If I had this growing up I know my game would have been stronger. When I hit the ball "perfect" it's within 5 yards of what I would expect. Recommend for anybody who loves the game.

I've used it quite a few times and it doesn't read a lot these times. Especially on the awesome golf app. It only registers my hit maybe 20% of the time. Works a lot better with the garmin app but the readings are all over the place and not consistent.

I bought this to improve my practice. I currently have a 24 handicap. If anything, it gives me too much information. But I can take data to my coach when I have lessons, take snippets of my swing videos for comment, and gain a better understanding - from data - of how my mistakes affect ball flight. I am very happy with my purchase.

Only used 3 times so far, enjoying learning its' features etc. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE TO TELL THE R10 Through the Garmin Golf App what club I'm using.

4/5 accuracy: I've put it up against a $13k monitor. The Garmin always reads about 8-13% slower, but I'll hit the price that's fine. 3/5 set-up: It looses Bluetooth connection every time I back out Home Tee Hero or the driving range/other islan holes. 2/5 Home Tee Hero: It seams they have put their entire budget into course quantity but app development got the scraps. It's usable but not great. I still give it 5 stars because of its value. The app is still usable & the Bluetooth connectivity is tolerable gor the price. A v2 would be great if it had better Bluetooth, a built in laser for alignment, adjustable legs/feet & a digital level that showed up on the app.

I've had it for 10 days now the distances indoors are off by 10 to 20 percent. I have the leveling stand and bought three rct balls but they didn't help. This is setup in a detached garage. It's easy to setup and fast data capture.

I have hit about a thousand balls so far and it is great to work on my swing and iron gapping. I did purchase the Titleist RCT balls and they do make a difference. Have not tried the virtual courses yet, mainly cause the reviews say it does not have a Landscape mode.

I have been using this device for two months and at least 20 sessions. With proper alignment the feedback from this device is constructively instructive. Spin, face angle, club angle, launch angle, club speed, ball speed, etc. Benchmark your start numbers and work to improve at a reasonable 'greatest economy on earth' at 20% inflation this device stayed the course in price. A real bargain for me.

I first bought the Rapsodo MLM and it worked fine. But, I had two issues with it. Our driving range faces where the sun come up so I had a hard time seeing my iphone sitting on the Rapsodo, and then after a while my iPhone overheated. With the R10 my iPhone is attached to my golf bag with a sun shield over it. In fact I use my iPad instead of my iPhone attached to my golf bag for the R10. Now I have a much bigger screen to view my shots. I take the R10 every time to my driving range now.
