Rene G : will the mounts work with 616 negative film? 2 1/2" x 4 1/2'CHRISTOPHER T : No. Not sure why you would want to use these as they're made for 6x6 cm (2-1/4" x 2-1/2") slide film. You'd have to cut your negatives in half. The anti-newton glass offers better protection in older projectors which is why I use them on my more treasured slides shot for that size in 120 film. If you want to project images from the larger negatives, you'll need a bigger projector to handle the larger format. These put out a lot of heat and the largest Gepe slides are 6x7cm. In using larger format projectors like a Beseller Slide King II or a Delineascope, the old wood frame holders might more fit your needs but are not always easy to find for sale nor are the projectors. For slide mounts I myself have sometimes used BCW topload card holders 3"x4" size used by folks who collect and preserve baseball cards. They're much cheaper than traditional slide mounts and offer some protection for slides/negatives from the heat of the old projectors. Best of luck.MICHAEL K : No it will not work. This is the best and only available 6*6 format glass slide mount in the market. If you want to protect your valuble slides for viewing, this one is just for you. Tips: when viewing on a lightbox, the white side should be up; when viewing on a slide projector, the white side should be towards the lamp.
