I purchased this as an additional layer of protection for the already waterproof Hero5 Black. I've soaked the camera itself in rain and in shallow waters (although you can take it deeper without any housing), but just to be on the safe side, this will give you full confidence that you won't ruin the device. Perfectly secures the Hero5.
