I use the FR945LTE on every run and ride and leave my phone at home. I have the ability to get emergency help if needed and just enjoy the workout. No worries.

First, the quality of the watch is not acceptable. I've received two replacement watches because the "light and down" buttons "stuck." After about six months, no matter how well I cleaned the watch, the buttons would stick making scrolling impossible. Garmin was quick to replace, but with each replacement watch there are issues with setting up the watch. Why can't Garmin figure out how to simplify the subscription transfer or the add credit card process? Currently waiting on an escalated tech request to get it fixed. Meanwhile, I'm paying for a monthly subscription for Assistance Plus with no access to the service.

I wanted to upgrade from the Garmin 265 to this 945 LTE and give my brother the 265. I brought it with me to Italy so I could test it out and worked wonderfully. All the buttons were easy to use and battery life was great! The GPS worked well and had my family track me!! I use it everyday and can't wait to use without phone. At this time it's kind of hard to leave phone at home! Lol.

I bought this watch as a birthday present for myself, to facilitate my half marathon training. It replaced my old 630. I got this because I wanted a watch with a wrist sensor, that could store and play music, and has LTE based safety features so I can run without my phone. The watch has been perfect for this, and I find the built in diagnostics helpful in objective assessment of my efforts and recovery needs. The software can be a little finicky re: wifi, music downloading, and connecting to AirPods but there are some helpful YouTube tutorials where the instructions provided in the booklet and on the Garmin website seemed outdated or incorrect.

Loved the functions and my use of it thus far about a month in. Mud from its first obstacle course run was an issue though the buttons could use a different design. They didn't want to work for a couple of days after my Spartan race.

I'm on my 3rd Forerunner 945 LTE (Still under warranty). 1st watch at 3 months I removed from wrist at night and woke up with Garmin logo flashing in display. Talked with tech support who replaced with a reconditioned. 2nd watch lasted 1 day with same issue. I'm now on 3rd watch. After setup, this watch has done the same thing. Tech support says watch is stuck in boot mode. I would not recommend this watch.

I was so excited to get my watch and after setting it up, I put it on the charger for the evening. When I woke up to go on my run I was welcomed by a green triangle and a watch that wouldn't start. I tried a hard reset but then the watch wouldn't connect to wifi and I'm frustrated and annoyed. Also it is Saturday so the help lines are not open. I will be returning the watch.

I had a Forerunner 935 for 5 years before moving to a 945 LTE. The 935 was holding up just fine, but I wanted the safety tracking features from the LTE. The documentation that came with the watch left me struggling to figure out the music aspect and the live track options for emails and text message notifications. I received the watch on a Monday, with the intent of letting family and friends track me in my marathon that was 6 days away. I hated it for the first day and a half as I struggled to get live track emails to the correct people. I had to search online a few times and then found a setting in Garmin Connect that fixed the problem. I always wanted to load some music and struggled with getting Amazon Music set up. Again, google searching for half an hour got me to the right place. It would be great if this came with better how to guides, but now that I'm used to the features and how they work it's perfect. The GPS is very accurate, the live track and live event sharing worked flawlessly in my marathon, and the music feature works. The music interface is a bit clunky, but it's also a watch and not an iPod. This watch is perfect for folks who do not like to carry a phone while running, but still want the peace of mind of having a contact if there's an emergency. I was holding out as long as I could for a newer model to include LTE, but now that I have it I wish I would have bought it sooner.

Great watch, and like especially that with LTE I can leave my phone at home. If I need emergency help I have it. Dont want calls and messages while out on my adventures. Please add this to the next FR965 replacement. I am all in on the LTE features and wont upgrade without it.

I bought this device less than two years ago, and it is the best investment I have made in my fitness. The suggested workouts keep you fit without having to plan ahead or accommodate injuries and setbacks. If you want to race, the race widget constructs a plan based on your fitness and adapts in a similar fashion. The LTE is great for being able to update your friends with your progress if you don't have your phone. I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a fitness watch that will take their performance to the next level. Garmin does a great job of having evidence-based metrics inform their algorithm-driven plans, and I look forward to seeing what they continue to come up with as hardware and sports science advance.

The watch is reliable even if the screen isn't that great. However you need the companion app, Garmin Connect, and it absolutely sucks. Most recent update and now I can't find past features like setting the alarm on my watch from my phone.

By far my favorite Garmin watch (and I have had many). Would have been 5 stars but needs the same text functionality over LTE as the Garmin Bounce. That would make it perfect for me anyway,

Very accurate position tracking and surprisingly accurate vertical tracking capabilities. LTE not overly useful for my purposes. Enhanced features included with LTE version are worth the upgrade. Early issues with wifi connectivity. This is apparently a version issue that was resolved with Garmin Beta upgrade.

I had a used FR945 lte and it was great but it had an issue with uploading my runs and other GPS activities to Garmin connect. so I bought this watch again, brand new this time. after updating and following Garmin's tech support directions to a T, it still was unable to find the wifi connection. too many dang issues, and too bad because I really like the fit of the watch size and weight. I have an O.G. 945 and will continue to use it.. unfortunately

Bought 945 LTE from Garmin directly and it came with old software. This is normal I get that but updating when I get it doesn't work and wifi software is old and refuses to download. The only way around this I found is to download the beta version. This is unacceptable for a brand new watch! I even chatted with Garmin and they sent me a replacement watch...both had the same issue. It is a software issue that Garmin should have fixed prior to sending old watches that are expensive to people.

I was excited to upgrade to the 945 from 935 . Unfortunately I have had nothing but problems with the WiFi and music which is the main reason for the upgrade . The fitness tracking works fine. But I have yet to fix the WiFi issues and download music . I have called Garmin twice , sent one watch back and received a new one . The second one still does not work with WiFi . . Now I am told I need to download application to fix a possible bug . Nothing but problems .

I had the 945 first, but upgraded to the LTE version, excited about the possibilities of not having to download playlists. I suppose it's my fault, I listened to a faulty you tube video stating the abilities of streaming spotify. for nearly 100$ a year the service attributes are not at all worth it to me- someone who has no need of showing off my running or MTB live track. I guess the safety feature is a good sell, but not worth that large price tag. no thanks. I shouldve just stuck with the O.G. 945 for the extra $ tag. I do like how it's a little smaller with same display size, helpful for sleeping. I used to track sleep with my 5x, so I can appreciate the smaller watch size.

I have now had 3 of the 945 LTE. It is extremely disappointing that you pay so much money and just get constantly disappointed. It is Definitely NOT worth it for the LTE. Maybe Garmin will improve it over time but let's see. Sadly, I have not had the best of luck with the watches from this to the Fenix so maybe it is time to move on. They have great customer service but the products are far from great unless they are doing what they are made to do.

I bought my first Forerunner 945 LTE a couple months ago. It was a lemon. The wifi did not sync properly. After a couple troubleshooting phone calls, Garmin replaced it. The replacement watch has been solid. Everything works. The pros include the wide variety of sports it tracks, its durability and relative ease of use once its been set up. Speaking of, the set up is tricky. If it's your first Garmin, it might take some time and assistance to tailor it to your liking. I only gave 4 stars because I'm not convinced of its accuracy considering the expense of the watch. My girlfriend also has a Garmin. We hike, run & cycle together and yet the watches track us for different heights and elevations. So I might log a 3.1 mile run and her watch would say 2.9 miles. Over time, that adds up. I'm glad to have the watch. I hope that future versions improve their ease of use. I give extra credit for the helpfulness of Garmin's staff with my first watch.

I had two as replacement for a faulty 945 that had charging issues. I don't use the LTE features because I always have my phone with me. But both 945 LTEs have routinely "auto calibrated" altitude to things like -267 ft elevation even though I live at +51 feet. Garmin reluctantly replaced the first one, saying that it really wasn't that far off and "nobody else has reported this issue". The replacement had the exact same issue. Other than that it's a great watch - love that it's getting ost of the software features from the 955 eventually.
