This is an excellent GPS with all the features someone needs to get to their destinations dependably. The menus are very simple and easy to use, and it calculates/recalculates routes quickly. The screen is bright and very clear and the voice commands work very well. Even my 80 year old father (who I bought this for) who is not that good with electronic devices can use it effectively and now finds taking trips much less stressfull, especially when it's dark or poor weather and navigation by maps or memory can get confusing.

Slick design, lightweigth - excellent package when you need it occasionally (on vacation, etc.). Verbal directions sometimes misleading but if you turn the sound off it's as good as Google directions. I helped me find an alternative route to the airport when I was stuck in traffic on the major highway (otherwise I;d miss the flight) so it's already re-payed back whatever I spent on it. Computer connection setup is really clumsy - through the web browser ActiveX pages. If you are not an administrator on the computer or have any 3-d party security installed they fail unrecoverably (but the device still works, it just fails to update).

I've travelled to 3 or 4 different cities and tried it in each, and it performed perfectly each time - even when I tried detours, it got me back on track quickly and easily.

I just wish I had this unit,when I was in Ireland earlier this year. It's been so good Canada and the US, that I know it would have helped in Europe.
