Prior to obtaining this antenna for my nuvi 680 it would never get reception which was a big disappointment as my old nuvi 360 picked signals up right away. Getting any signal in the city from a startup was also not ever happening. Once I did the best range I could hope for was about 25-30 feet. With the antenna mounted and plugged in the unit obtains a strong signal within a minute (or less than a red light). Highly accurate to less than 10 feet at most times and keeps a signal while traveling under most highway bridges. I was hesitant at purchasing the antenna as I felt the nuvi 680 should have been better than the nuvi 360 for reception. At the cost of the antenna I had hoped it would perform as I needed it to, it has completely surpassed my hopes for pickup and holding of signal. The only cons I would say is that I wish the antenna had a 12 inch cable and a 7 foot extension as that would make mounting on the dash a little neater looking. Also the mounts could use a little more thought as well with maybe a Velcro option to the dash.
