WAYYYYY better then the old black 4 gopro I own. Pretty much wrote go pro off on that. Then my buddy turned me on to the 7 & 8, wow! what a difference. Menus are easier to navigate and make it way easier to use, the updated App is finally usable, and the big game changer is the Smooth technology for gimble-less steady shooting. You have to see it to believe it. Really an amazing little camera.

The camera has unbelievable quality for the size. I use it for Scuba Diving and it's great because it's small and does not get in the way. However, it does get particularly hot when recording for a long time, and the Uploading of videos to the GoPro Cloud is ridiculously slow.

First GoPro ever purchased or used. Waited so long as I kept seeing videos about the previous GoPro footage being shaky without using a gimbal. I was very excited when the HyperSmooth was announced and wanted to wait to see what the real feedback from user was before purchasing. I can only say that i'm blown away. The footage is very good on 4k 60fps, even at 4k 24fps. Minor editing is needed depending on what look you're going for in your videos. Observations - battery gets HOT when recording at 4k (any FPS). the camera will shut down. Recommendations - get a 128GB microSD card, you won't regret it. Also, have a spare battery with you at all times (due to overheating). I'd also recommend purchasing the hydrophobic glass covers for the lens and rear LCD screen (keeps mud/water off and out of your shots). Other than the overheating issue, this GoPro is amazing. Does everything i ask of it in different physical and lighting conditions. Minimal editing needed post recording.

I used my Hero7 Black for videoing kindergartners in a classroom situation. It's a tremendous tool for video journalism. Colors are amazing outdoors and easily corrected for indoor clips even with fluorescent lights. And talk about inconspicuous. Looking forward to the 8 for improved sound with the built-in mic or with attached mic via the media bracket.

Awesome camera! I’ve been kayaking and fishing for the last month and have used it daily. The battery life is short so I’d suggest a spare. The adventure bundle works great with lots of options for camera angles. Enjoyed my go pro Hero7 Black a lot so far.

I have only used the camera once so far but the image stabilization appears to be a big upgrade over the Hero 3+ Black that I previously owned. I also like the fact that the camera itself is waterproof thus reducing the overall size of the camera and housing compared to the Hero 3.
