GoPro HERO (2018)

With its distinctive outer body, the GoPro HERO action camera looks and functions much like its predecessors from the brand’s HERO line—except that it’s a more user-friendly (and affordable) option for the younger market. The main difference, aside from the price, is it’s been simplified to offer a maximum frame rate of 60fps in 1440p and 1080p Full HD video resolution (with electronic video stabilization) and 10MP still images at 10fps, which means you get to capture way more of your adventures with a single memory card. Like other top-of-the-line HERO models, the new GoPro HERO comes with a status screen in front, a 2-inch touchscreen LCD on the rear side for quick menu navigation, and an adventure-ready body that’s waterproof up to 33 feet underwater even without an external housing. Users can still enjoy familiar HERO features such as Voice Control for easy, hands-free camera operation; GoPro app capability for remote control and media sharing; QuikStories for automatically edited videos with music and visual effects; and Auto Offload to Your Phone and Auto Cloud Backup for easy sharing and storage. The new HERO also works with the wide range of accessories—from selfie sticks and handlebar mounts to suction cups—that are made to fit every other HERO action camera.
