Bought the Mini 2. Love it. Great image quality and small. Ended up buying two more. One for each car. I also highly suggest buying here on the Garmin site. I shopped around the first time and no better pricing.

I've had window mount cameras for a while. They had a screen to view the image and worked pretty well, but they seemed to be in the way at times. Mounted this one in my Jeep for a while, but now have it on my motorcycle. It will go back in the Jeep one day.

I recently added the OBD connection so I could record when someone comes around my truck. I don't think it's working the way I thought it would. But benefit of the doubt I'll have to find some time to call Garmin.

Have used mini cam for about a month. Impressive recording quality of my local driving. Will probably purchase a second mini camera for a rear view. Only suggestion would be that the recordings do not loop once the disk is full. When full, the recordings stop. I don't believe that the camera emits a warning that the disc is full. I would prefer that the newest recordings replace the oldest recordings. There might be a system option for the looping that I have not utilized. Over all, I would recommend the Garmin Dash Cam Mini.

This has been a fantastic product. It captured a major wreck that was not our fault and was shared with Law Enforcement and Insurance company. This made it so we did not get a rate increase.

I did all of the steps to troubleshoot the connection process with multiple iPhones and iPads. I received a replacement camera with no success! It is a nice small camera that can be directly connected to your computer for video recall, but if you are looking for the next generation connectivity to your iPhone, this certainly is not the dash cam! I am a huge Garmin fan and have multiple devices that work flawlessly. This minicam 2 is uncharacteristic for the Garmin lineup and should be discontinued.

I have to say that little camera has impressed me more than more expensive cameras. I connected it to constant power and I have no issues with it draining my battery. It shuts down five minutes after I turn off my car and turns on Automatically. It's so out-of-the-way and hidden that I barely notice it as I'm driving so it's not a distraction and the quality is great. I ended up putting a polarized lens that is offered through Garmin and the clarity is so much better than when I take it off.

I've had 3 of these in the past 5 years; two for me and one for my wife's car. Bought one more after my first one just to make sure I didn't get a lemon. It happens. I have experienced intermittent failures where they don't power up and are unable to power on. They come back on their own for unknown reasons. Also had one that kept failing to write data to the microSD card. Reformatting the microSD card in the device worked sometimes, others not. I reached out to Garmin and was never contacted so their customer service was non-responsive. Had the same level of non-support on a Garmin GPS device.

Works great. Voice activation is a plus. Hidden behind rearview mirror and don't see the red lights. Have on 24 hours. Can do live view. Vault works well. Video quality is great.The app has no problems. No complaints. And you are getting a garmin so you know you''ll have no problems.

I have a Garmin dash cam that I love and just got a mini 2 and the mini 2 was the biggest screw up I have done in awhile. What a hunk of junk. I trusted the name and it didn't work out I would return it but I got it for Christmas and my wife doesn't know where the box it came in went . It gets hot it records about 30 minutes and shut's off my other camera and my two GPS's work great very happy with them and I've been looking at some gear for my boat but at this point I'm not sure it'll be Garmin

I bought this to try out in my car that I drive back and forth to work. Easy to setup and pretty good quality if you view footage via pc. Viewing through the app on my phone is not the greatest and seems to lag.

Compact and unobtrusive it is easily hidden behind the rear view mirror. Garmin Drive allows review and upload to your phone and editing clips. The one drawback is the ability to read license plates with this camera's resolution. If you upload to a tablet or desktop you may be able to get enough resolution to do this but it this is an important feature you may want to upgrage to a higher resolution model. For the price it's feature loaded and effective.

I'm not completely tech savvy, I do alright but I want products that are easy to set up, use, and don't make me give them too much attention to work consistently and this dash cam seems to fall into that category. So far no complaints.

I love the design of my little camera. The only reason I gave it a "4" is because I have to reconnect it to my phone every time I get in the car. Plugging and replugging. I don't know if this is what is supposed to happen. This videos and pics are clear and perfect.

I use this in the rear window with a 67W in the front. They work together well and are constantly looking out for me... One warning.... I used the suction mount successfully in the front but not in the rear. Garmin doesn't warn you that the suction mount might not work in the rear window due to the embedded rear window heating element which means the glass surface might not be totally smooth. It is not a heat issue... it's the perfect surface needed for the best suction. They even show it mounted on rear heating elements in their video, but we proved it does not stay. If/when you use their small glue mount, try to find the best place where it also won't be mounted on top of heating elements. FYI, you can remove it if necessary, but you can't re-use it once you do. Nice that they give you an extra one...

I set this up as a rear camera, the included cable was log enough for my Toyota Avalon and connecting to the Garmin Drive app went as expected. I can control both cameras from the App Front camera. Garmin Dash Cam 47 Rear camera Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2

It works. Video quality is good. Setup was okay. The app is quite slow to connect. Folders and files are reasonably well organized. I think my card has died, and I cannot reformat a new one. Hope to resolve that. Every few months something like this happens. Be very careful if you use the constant power cable! If it's loose it may arc and melt! Melting is okay, but fire is not. I bought it to run the camera 24/7 since there are parking issues in my area, but I don't do this since my cable cooked itself.

Every time when I go to vault and try to see the videos, I have to wait a long time and see day before videos. I never see the same day videos. The dash cam power is connected to the car battery and parking spot is close to WiFi. However, I never can see anything on my cell phone.

Dash cams have been needed more than once to aid my insurance company prove fault of the other driver. The Garmin Mini 2 best feature is being able to show Police the video of the accident from my Smart Phone. After an accident I am a little rattled and being able show video with ease is necessary. My only complaint is the Drive App can only be used with Google Play Services turned on. I wish Garmin would make the App not dependent me having a Google account, Google Play Services to be turned on to download and to work on my phone.

I will probably give the cam five stars after I understand how to use it. Just finished a four-day tour of West Texas and the cam recorded with great clarity every time I drove the car. On the downside for the moment is the steep learning curve on how to find clips I am interested in reviewing, saving and sharing.
