This guitar at regular price is an absolute bargain, when you catch it on sale at Adorama it's a steal. Excellent pickups, tuners hold tune, strap locks fit and finish are perfect and it was at my door in 2 days. Gretsch is knocking it out of the park with their lower price offerings, nothing lower quality with this guitar.

One of the best Gretsch deals yet. P90s are articulate and gritty with some bit of that gretschy sizzle. Looks like a 2K guitar!

The guitar is appropriately priced at the sale price of $260. Seems to have been older stock since the included QC card was from nearly a year ago. First, the complaints: The single-cut design is attractive but takes some time to get used to playing higher frets. Action came set low (good), with a mild amount of buzz in the lower strings. Rarely, the pickup switch doesn't want to switch to the bridge; gotta fiddle with it for it to "connect". The cheap tuners will mostly stay in tune between play sessions... but only mostly. Finally, the neck is a little sticky and can be hard to move around. Overall, though, it is good for the sale price. The guitar looks beautiful. The P-90 pickups are good but very, very warm. As a treble-head, it took some time to love its sound. I recommend lowering the pickups some and lowering master volume a tad (maybe because of treble bleed circuit?) to regain some brightness. I would recommend this to another beginner like me.
