Now, to start with, this guitar is not perfect. No guitar is. This one stands much taller than its price point. The overall appearance is very very good. The finish is excellent, the build is super nice. The nut was cut correctly, the frets were buffed to a high polish, no rough fret ends, the neck relief was perfectly set. I lowered the strings some, adjusted the intonation, tuned it up, and hooked to my Peavy tube amp. I was very satisfied either way the sound of the pups, I don't see a real need to upgrade them, but I might. Overall, for the 400 bucks I paid on sale, I got a great guitar. Pictures of the finish do not do it justice. The smoky, blue , gray, hybrid color stands out. The pick guard, the gold guard ware, is a great visual statement. Gold colored hardware can look garish with some colors. Not with this, it looks fine. Two small dislikes??.the tuning knobs are on the small side, I prefer larger. The Bigsby spring is too tall for my use, and very stiff when moving the handle. I'm changing out the spring for a shorter one. I'll probably install a spring from the real Bigsby part list. They seem to be easier to use, smoother, and not so mechanically intermittent in tension. I recommend this guitar, the size is perfect for me. The center block is good at stopping feedback, . The looks of this guitar is over the top. Final thoughts??.get one, before this color goes away. This guitar holds it own with some more expensive guitars. Since I bought this guitar, the 5622 I own has been left in the case. I much prefer the smaller body size. If you don't like the smoky blue color, there are other colors to tickle your fancy. Happy Pickin' !

This is the most beautiful guitar I own. It is my third Gretsch and now my favorite. I prefer the sound of a Gretsch over other brands. I received this guitar in perfect condition. The build quality is amazing for the price, it holds its tune and is super easy to play. Just a great guitar.

My first semi-hollow body electric. This Gretsch looks very nice and feels like a high quality guitar. Sounds warm with the stock pickups. I was sad when Adorama lowered the price after I bought it.

Stunning looks and great pickups. Weak part is definitely the hardware though, I recommend properly lubricating the Bigsby and tightening the screws in the Tune-o-Matic.

This guitar was as good-looking, or better-looking, in person as it was in the photo used to sell it. It was more than reasonably-priced. Shipping was fast. It arrived in what appears to be new condition, and well-packaged. It looks, plays, and sounds great. It was a great deal. Glad I purchased this guitar from Adorama.

This is an absolutely gorgeous guitar. It's smaller than an ES335, so it's more like an ES339 or a Casino Coupe. The one thing that stands out immediately is how attractive it is. This guitar just glows with good looks! Another thing that stands out is how incredibly well made it is. The fit and finish are flawless. It's got more than the traditional Gretsch twang and rockabilly tones too. It has excellent pick ups that stay clear. The set up was OK, but I like my strings a little lower so that was easy to adjust. The intonation was spot on too. The inspection card was dated from June of 2023, so the strings were 15 months old. Even though they were unused, new strings would make a difference. The tuners are good. The knobs and switch tip are excellent pieces and the special strap locks are gold too. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high quality guitar at a very good price. It's an amazing guitar, period.
