Excellent and good value

The Gretsch G5220 Electromatic Jet BT is absolutely gorgeous in person-pictures really don't do it justice. The finish and overall design are just stunning. After getting it set up by a professional, it plays like a dream, and I couldn't be happier with how smooth and comfortable it feels.

The tone is something special, too. It has a unique sound that's rich, clear, and full of character. I love the way it handles everything from crisp highs to deep, punchy lows-it just sounds great no matter what I'm playing. If you're looking for a guitar that looks and sounds amazing, this one's definitely worth checking out.

My first Gretsch and I love it!

I had my eye on this model for a while and when I saw it on sale, I decided to order one. It was nearly perfect out of the box, but the neck pickup wasn't working. A quick trip to my guitar tech and it was an easy fix. I did swap the stock tuners, which are very cheap, with a quality set of Grover tuners and it is now an incredible instrument. The pickups sound great dirty or clean and the neck feels great and plays very comfortably. I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar to anyone from a beginner to a professional. Can't beat it for the price. The firestick red color is even more beautiful in person and it has a slightly orangey copper tint to it. Very nice looking guitar.

The G5220 is a wonderful instrument for the asking price. I'd highly recommend this model to anyone looking to get into the world of Gretsch guitars for the first time or even those with some past experience with the brand. 

Out of the box, it's a quality instrument and it's easy enough to work with should you decide to modify any of the individual aspects to your liking. I'm a huge fan of the "firestick red" finish which straddles the line between red and orange - looks sharp!

The G5220 is a Worthwhile Instrument for Novices and Beyond

Guitar finish is beautiful, more of an orange/red than red. The mahogany parts have a deep color and high gloss, highlighting the grain and figuring of the mahogany. The frets are finished very well with no sharp edges as with many foreign made guitars. A set-up is required as the pickup height was too low, I will follow-up with new strings, intonation adjustment, and balancing the pickups. It's a great guitar, especially at the reduced price that was offered at that time. I have bought two of these, if that better shares my opinion of it!
