For the money spent, this is a fantastic guitar. It just seems impossible to make a guitar of this caliber and price it where they have it. That being said it's not a show piece type guitar. The hardware is a little on the light side and the pick-ups are a little on the muddy side for my taste, nut needs some work. That being said, all these things are things that can be and should be replaced to taste. The things that cannot be replaced, the craftsmanship, wood, finish, etc. are all great. I would buy this guitar again in a heartbeat.

The cheapest Gretsche is a very nice cheap guitar. Striker unplugged even makes a nice sound. The broadtron pickups can be sweet or dirty up easily. A nice combination of tones . the neck carve is full but not too big. Very nice for me. Out of the box, the action, set up, everything, was great. I have not tweaked a thing, and enjoy playing it daily. Maybe the best cheap hollow body I've ever tried.

The three-way pickup selector switch allows for quick tonal changes on the fly.
The G2420's playability is second to none, featuring a 12"-radius laurel fingerboard adorned with pearloid Hump Block inlays. The 22 medium jumbo frets offer a comfortable playing experience, while the white-bound nato neck, with its thin "U"-shaped profile, is designed for both comfort and speed.
Stability and intonation are well-maintained by the Adjusto-Matic bridge with a secured laurel base, the synthetic bone nut, and the elegant Gretsch Chromatic II tailpiece. These hardware choices not only enhance performance but also add to the guitar's visual appeal.
Completing the G2420 Streamliner's refined look are vintage-style black control knobs, aged white binding with upgraded purfling, sleek nickel hardware, and a three-ply tortoise pickguard.
