Pic dosnt do it justice. Great looking guitar. Came very well packaged and after a little tuning was ready to go. Intonation and string heighth spot on. Simply won't find a better guitar for the money.

Excellent guitar much like the telecaster it's a workhorse. Its very simple but gets the job done. I love it.

I've been an acoustic player for a while now, and I have always wanted to experiment with electric.  I am a believer that the instrument or tool you get as a starter should be one that lasts you a lifetime.  

This guitar has a starter price, but man the quality and sound make me so happy.   I am glad my friend who knows his electric guitars pointed me at this deal and guitar.

I bought this and a Fender Mustang LT25 so I could record and mess around with effects and presets.  So much fun I am going to pick it up and play right now. :P

Such a rad guitar

Really nice guitar. It looks beautiful and plays well. It's a bit heavy, but I guess that's to be expected of a "LP style" guitar. Both pickups sound good, but the p90 is a bit louder than the humbucker

What a deal! Great guitar with an awesome price. It shipped fast and arrived in great condition. I just had to adjust the action and change the strings. The pickups sound very nice and great combination of a humbucker and a P90. I would definitely recommend this guitar and Adorama.

Great guitar with an awesome price!

A very good value guitar. My copy seems to have 2 or 3 high frets, so I have to set the action a touch higher than I would like to minimize the fret buzz. That's not uncommon with budget guitars though. Overall the guitar is nice and you'd probably be hard pressed to find a better guitar under 400 dollars. If you can grab it at the sale price that Adorama sometimes runs at 199, then it's a steal.

Great budget guitar

One of the sweetest looking and sounding singlecuts out there at any price. It's Gretsch meets Gibson tone-wise, feels great in the hand.

Top tones, minimal coins

I've been meaning to get back into electric guitar playing and not just my acoustic and had been keeping an eye out for deals. It's hard to pass up this guitar from Gretsch  and the value does not disappoint. Pretty much ready to go out of the box. It was shipped well with no dings or damage and sounds great with my Blackstar tube amp. Adorama seems to always have great deals on Gretsch guitars which are one of my favorite makers so I'll definitely be back in the future for other deals when they have them!

What a great deal for a great guitar

You can't go wrong with these gretsch. Best bang for the buck. Received mine in perfect condition. I recommend highly.

Gretsch 2215

I bought this based on glowing reviews, but I'm a little disappointed with mine.  The action is so high that even bottoming out the bridge does not lower it enough to be comfortably playable.  I will have to buy a wooden shim to get this neck right.  It also had a pretty severe bow in the neck.  I was able to sort that out, but I'm still left with too high of an action.  The shim is an easy fix, too - I'm just not thrilled about doing it.  Lastly, the frets are not level and have sharp ends - something none of the other reviews mention.  Having said all that, the finish is beautiful with only a tiny ding on the back.  The sound is awesome!

I called Adorama customer service about a possible return, but they said I would have to deal with the manufacturer.

Poor customer service for a mediocre guitar

I'm dissapointed with the finish on the first guitar I received. I'm sending it back for an exchange. On the top there appears to be a hair clearcoated into the finish....yes....a hair. It's not a crack, its smooth to the touch, and cant be taken off with polish. I'm hoping the next one doesn't contain someone elses DNA. I'll change my review if it doesn't.

Bad Finish

Wrap-around tailpiece, P-90, gorgeous finish -- what more could you possibly want?

The fit and finish is typical Gretsch: perfect. I could just pick it up and play. (Later on, I dropped the action a little but it was fine out of the box). 

The star of this guitar, of course, is the P90; turn it down and it's warm and mellow, crank it up and it's raunchy as hell.

Just buy the dang guitar. You won't regret it.

This might be the perfect guitar

With the P90 pickup this guitar is rock and roll! Such a great warm sound. The single barrel stain is much better looking than in photos. This guitar stands out from the superstrats and single coil guitars. Those are all cool but this guitar has a different sonic palette and it is very fun to play.
