The unique sound of the G2655 Streamliner is due to the combination of the Broad'Tron BT-2S humbucking pickup and the spruce center block. This ensures a robust, defined sound with a tighter bass response for robust lows, pristine highs, and a throaty midrange.
Some of the stand-out features include a fast-playing 12"-radius laurel fingerboard, a Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece, an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, synthetic bone nut, and classic Gretsch style elements like vintage-style black control knobs and enlarged F-holes.
The G2655 Streamliner is designed for the modern musician who wants to control the stage and the audience while standing out from the pack. Its smaller body makes it easy to play, making it an ideal choice for both seasoned professionals and aspiring rock stars.
The G2655 Streamliner features a unique and attractive Forge Glow Maple finish, setting it apart from other guitars on the market.

Apparently this is a discontinued finish for the G2655 lineup, so it was offered as a great price through Adorama. I found the sunburst finish to be nice, (and not quite as "orange" as the online photos suggest). And, save for a very minor paint "flaw" around one of the f holes (nothing to warrant returning) overall very clean. The neck is very comfortable, and straight, and access to the lower frets is very good. The nato fretboard is not as nice as most rosewood fretboards I've seen, but serviceable. I adjusted the string height down to about where my Epiphone guitar's height and it plays very well. The pickups are not quite as "rich" as I prefer, but not too bad for a guitar that was selling for under $400. The volume and tone controls allow for a wide range of variation, and the push/pull master volume control's coil-splitting feature might appeal to others. Overall, a very well made and pleasing guitar in its pricer range.

The guitar is built solid and finish is flawless, the only complaint is that the pickups are not Gretsch sounding.

Great guitar, but there is a defect in the binding that was a disappointment. Rest of the guitar looks great. Plays great as well. Size was not as large as I thought, but perfect for playing. Slightly larger than my les Paul.

Very nice looking guitar and was shipped quick and arrived fast. The only thing is, there were some issues with the electronics being defective. The return process was simple and easy to accomplish. This is does not take away from this company's quality and service. They were great making me feel the served me as a customer. Thanks

Awesome guitar. Guitar was securely packed and shipped quickly. Great semi hollow body for the money. Pick ups have the familiar Gretsch sound. Fit and finish is perfect. No defects at all. Great small body semi hollow

I bought this Gretsch 2655 just a few weeks after I purchased its twin with P90 pickups. In both instances, I had the same pleasant buying experience - super fast m, efficient and effective delivery from Adorama, along with an outstanding guitar design from Gretsch. My complements to both Gretsch and Adorama - awesome job!!!

The exhilarating G2655 Streamliner Center Block Jr. Double-Cut with V-Stoptail is designed for three simple things-high gain-friendly performance, slick, easy playability and spectacular style. A sleek music machine, the G2655 cranks out the hits with updated features while staying true to That Great Gretsch Sound! that's been a vital component of rock 'n' roll since its inception.
The secret to the Streamliner's sound is twofold-the Broad'Tron BT-2S humbucking pickup and the spruce center block. Designed specifically for the Streamliner Collection, the high-output Broad'Tron pickup spawns improved definition with tighter bass response for robust lows, pristine highs and a throaty midrange. A lightweight spruce center block runs the length of the body, reinforcing the top while eliminating undesirable feedback for volume-friendly performance on modern stages. The Streamliner's sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout-neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching. A fast-playing 12"-radius laurel fingerboard with elegant pearloid Big Block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets sits atop the white-bound nato neck with a thin "U"-shaped profile-ideal for chord work or fiery riffing. Enjoy rock-solid tuning stability courtesy of the stylish Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece, anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and synthetic bone nut.
All the classic eye-catching style you've come to expect from Gretsch is here-vintage-style black control knobs, enlarged F-holes for acoustic projection, elegant aged white binding with upgraded purfling, slick-looking nickel hardware, three-ply tortoise pickguard and arched laminated maple construction. Easy to play while rocking out thanks to its smaller body, the G2655 is a phenomenal instrument for the modern musician who wants to control the stage and the audience while standing out from the pack.
