Lasted 2 Years Then Shoulder Strap Ripped Off
I bought this bag back in 2013 to carry my Manfrotto MT294A3 tripod with 3-way pan head. It wasn't as good as my Cullman PodBag I had gotten a few years earlier (most notably with an elastic shoulder strap), but this Giottos bag was the best choice at the time (in 2013) as the podbag wasn't available anymore. I liked the Giottos because it was big enough to handle the pan-head (no pun intended) without removing it from the tripod.
Anyway, fast forward to my honeymoon in Tahiti in 2015 and I was running on the dock to catch a boat. I had the tripod bag on my shoulder slung across my chest and all of a sudden the bag just fell to the ground because the shoulder strap disconnected from the bag itself (I did still make it to the boat on time). The strap itself was fine, but the D-ring on the tripod bag itself was ripped off. So it seems to me the workmanship of the bag wasn't as good as I had hoped. At least it's still useful because it still has a normal carrying strap, but for my next bag I'll be looking for something else.

Needs 5 cm in both dimensions
This just barely fits a Gitzo Explorer with an Arca-Swiss B1 ballhead and a Wimberley Sidekick. It needs to be a just a bit larger in length and girth. Only time will tell how well the fabric, stitching, and zipper hold up to use. Note that I use this as a storage bag and for transport in a personal vehicle, not for airline or other carrier use. For the price, compared to other bags, it seems excellent except for the very tight fit for a typical field (not studio) professional still camera tripod setup.

Lightweight but Solid
Nice case that fits my Giottos MTL 3-section tripod and full size ballhead attached. Lightweight but well made and durable.
