Good product and very simple & ready-for-use with my Shogun Inferno. The price is a bit high, especially if you buy an Atomos, it may come with empty caddies to insert your own SSD.

I bought one of these along with my Atomos Shogun Inferno to record 4k raw from my Canon c300 Mark II. I also bought a cheaper Sandisk 3D Ultra 1TB as a 2nd drive to use for non RAW footage. But after testing both I can’t see a difference in performance, both perform perfectly without dropped frames on 5 minute clips recording ProRes RAW. If you want to record Cinema DNG you may want to stick with the higher quality G-Tech. The price is considerably higher but I know it will perform whereas I’ll also have my fingers crossed with the Sandisk. The G-Tech comes prepared to go right into your Atomos recorder while the Sandisk needs a caddy. The G-Tech is also a heavy little brick which should be indicative of its build quality and case durability. It’s also a nice feature that it can be used with some of the available G-Tech drives for offloading on higher budget shoots or once you get back to the office.

Amazing!!! Lightning fast and easy to use. The greatest benefit is that I can sit right from the drive without having to import footage I plan to purchase 3 more!!!

This solid state drive is perfect with the atomos! I run the ninja flame and all I did was pull it it of the box and started recording. Other drive require installing them into the caddies but these are ready to go out of the box just format!

This product is well built and is rugged for field productions. Great companies, great products- well worth the price of reliability.

I only wish they had 5” version too. Also, a display only model wouldn’t hurt, and it could come cheaper too.

Atomos creates easy-to-use solutions that merge recording, monitoring and playback into a single touchscreen device to enable faster, higher-quality, more affordable video production, but the trip from recorder to editing can vex video professionals on tight production deadlines. The Atomos Master Caddy by G-Technology streamlines the Atomos workflow.
With SSD configurations achieving transfer rates surpassing 500 MB/s (ideal for 4K, HDR and other demanding content formats), the Atomos Master Caddy inserts directly into any Atomos-compatible recorder. The caddy then slides into the ev Series Reader Atomos Master Caddy Edition, which slips into any G-DOCK ev or ev Series Bay Adapter. The Atomos Master Caddy by G-Technology makes quick, cable free work of transferring footage into main project storage, creating backups and quickly turning around formatted media.
