Although I have only had the monopod for a couple of weeks now, I am very impressed with the engineering and quality. It is extremely lightweight, yet very sturdy and can safely support significant equipment weight. The extension height, even without a head, is a plus for taller users. TIP - to change the thread configuration, you must first loosen the allen screw at the top of the shaft. Find it by rotating the collar with the safety strap. Then unscrew the platform. This is not provided in any literature or directions that I could find.

All of this Professional series features anti-twist leg system for easy locking and release. The carbon and lava series features lightweight but high-strength legs, it's more high performance for photographers on the move, for all styles of photography such as fashion or sports. The aluminum series finished metallic surface, looks very fashion, tough and strong.
Anti-twist screws prevent accidental loosening of heads, releases or cameras mounted on the monopod. A spring-loaded combination 1/4 and 3/8" camera thread assures easy handling under all conditions and the adjustable hand strap provides additional safety.
Tighten the anti-twist screws under the top plate for more security for the tripod head.
Security strap attached to each monopod, protects the moopod from accidently falling. Please place your hand through the strap and hold the non-slip foam rubber sleeve while using. The monopod can be hung on the wall by the strap for storage, or tied down to a handrail, backpack or case.
All of the new professional monopod series are fitted with a large rubber foot levels freely and safely. The anti-twist legs can be released or locked quickly.
