Shopper : What is the ball head model number that this comes with?MOSA R : August 20 2015 Hi: So sorry to get back to you so late. I had issues with my computer for a while. The ball Head is: Giottos MH5400 On a Giottos Vitruvian VGR9265-M2N. The Monopod leg of this tripod got disconnected from the bottom part. I didn’t glue it back since I put too much pressure on my tripods, So I bought Induro AT214 Small Tripod + Induro BHM1 Ball Head. You need to buy them individually and it cost me about $350 tax included. Best tripods in the world are made by Really Right Stuff. Induro tripods and Heads are solid and similar to the expensive Gitzo brand but with the fraction of the price. You may still find some imperfections with Induro where one of the twist-type legs may not get tightened which leads you to take it apart, clean it and put it back. Nothing is perfect in this world. If you’re on a budget, get Giottos complete tripod as the one you asked me about. I could sell you my Giottos tripod/Ball Head if you want to glue the part where the top and bottom (padded) part of the leg get screwed to one another. $100 + $20 shipping. No returns or complains if it keeps getting apart again. As of now, I use it indoors. Looks like new. If so, I'm sold.SCOTT A : Not sure about the window mount, but one thing that sold me on this tripod was that it is a standard Arca-Swiss quick release plate.MOSA R : It uses a standard Arca-Swiss Clamp and Quick-Release plate. It's a wonderful light weight tripod but not as sturdy as the more expensive ones. Use your backpack on the lower hook to secure it. Works for me. That's all I know. I don't know about the other tripod you asked because I didn't have time to look it up for you. Good Luck.

Sturdy Tripod

I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Giottos Vitruvian Aluminum Tripod/Monopod. The ballhead is very smooth and easy to adjust. The tripod feels super sturdy, though a bit heavy to carry around. The ability to convert it into a monopod is handy, as is the carrying case. I feel like I got exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price.

The Giottos Aluminum Tripod/Monopod with QR Ballhead delivers what every photographer is looking for - a solid professional tripod that folds down to a manageable size. The collar is made from aluminum alloy with an increased molecular density. It folds down to a portable 16.3" size and can be converted to a 69.2" monopod. This aluminum support will extend to 67.3", but its minimum working height is less than a foot - 11.2". Although it weighs just 4.3 lbs, it can support up to 13 lb.
