Unusual review. The original order was vandalized enroute to me and Customer Service from Adorama was very responsive in working with me to arrange for an alternative light and the return the original vandalized light back to Adorama. Adorama was also very thorough in working with me on verification of the facts related to the condition of the original vandalized order and corresponding photographs were taken and forwarded to them by me. I strongly recommend Adorama because of the way I was handled and responded to by Customer Service. Well done to Adorama.

I am very happy with these lights! They are easy to use and practically unlimited number of light hues that can be utilized! The adjustable stands provide lots of flexibility for ligthing angles and lighting height. I would highly recommend!

This product is great for all of our photoshoot and step-and-repeat needs! I work with an event company in NYC called Front Society and we use this GVM light all the time! The GVM support team is responsive and helpful. We had a broken diffuser panel on the 800 D and they were able to to replace it. The 800 D system has been the best lighting system i could have purchased. The options available for lighting cannot be matched for the price with any other system. They are easy to use and the storage case makes them very easy to travel to remote locations. I highly recommend this lighting system for the product and service support at GVM.

The GVM support team is very kind and helpful! We had an issue with the handle of the light kit bag and they shipped a replacement immediately. These lights have been a staple for my Television and Media Production classes. They are easy to store in the nice semi-hard case (everything fits nicely within it unlike competitors), they are lightweight, and easy to move around spaces. We also like the option of using our camera batteries to power the lights when on remote location. Highly recommend this light kit and the support at GVM.

We purchased these lights to use for our film shoots. They are perfect for small scale productions wanting to emulate a high end look. The lights are compact, lightweight and powerful with a great range of colours and settings. They're really easy to set up and use and run on both battery power and mains power. I particularly like the case that the lights come in. They have dust covers and a sturdy zip up carry case which is perfect for storage and transporting. For anyone purchasing these lights I would recommend getting some sandbags to secure the lights. Only because they are top heavy when set up and could tip over easily if not weighted at the base. These lights instantly raised our production value. We're now doing far more creative lighting set ups and everything looks so much more professional which makes our clients happy.

These lights perform well and add an important color to the collection. They're not the brightest lights out there, but they're almost as bright as other similar lights at this price point. Only these means provide more functionality. For mobile use, they each have two battery slots on the back. Instead of batteries, they provide an AC power cord (one for each light) for standard wall power. They make excellent transportable lights due to their light weight if you have a Sony battery they support (they should have their own battery style version along with some other lights). Additionally, they offer unique themes including party mode, paparazzi flash effects, lightning effects, and more. These are quite awesome (we particularly adore the paparazzi effect and will probably utilize it in a project at some point simply because it's there). They are therefore excellent candidates for video.

I'm a videographer looking to add lighting to my sets. I've been trying to find one that has RGB capability as well as daylight dimmable. This blows my mind. I bought three LED lights and later added a softbox with egg crates. Very useful, especially in small to medium rooms. The special effects are ok, they do it justice, but it's like every other preset (but not looking for that, it's more of a bonus).

I have always been looking for a bi-coloured light and this is the product that gave me the desired lighting temp. The tri-colour options were also great. Quite affordable too. I?d say it?d be suitable for beginners as well as professional photographers.

Let's talk about the main purpose of the purchase. Great price on RGB two-color options with portability and control options, plus the option of battery power. The 3 light kit is great for use as an accent light when close to the subject and background fill in low light or no light photography/video. Excellent kick/edge light to complement the main light. If you need softer light, put a fabric diffuser sign on the front. The onboard diffuser is no problem and slides out. Remember, there are pull tabs to keep the diffusion from slipping out.
