It will hold a full size 9mm S&W M&P with the standard 10rd mag. easily, so I'm pretty sure the XDS should fit as well.MIKE H : I also have a Beretta FS92 with a laser in one and a Walter PPQM2 in another. BTW - Adorama doesn't bother to answer anyway. They just forward your question to the other customers (like me) who purchased from them hoping that we'll answer the question for them. It holds my S&W M&P Shield EZ 9mm and my Berretta FS92 9mm (one smallish, one large 9mm) just fine. You can likely compare the size of your 9mm to mine and have a good idea of the answer. Great bedside vault

Great bedside gun vault. Installation was mostly easy except getting the three screws in the interior is a challenge for someone with large hands.

Nice product with a couple of very minor things worth pointing out.

Early review since I have not yet installed it, but the product seems great. Holds a full size (Sig P220 .45) pistol nicely. One quick thing to point out is that the battery cover pops off at the back hinge relatively easily if you are not careful, and it is hard to pop it back in without removing the drawer. Mine popped off when I was trying to close it without the battery fully in the compartment. Programming is relatively simple and the LED light and buttons work well. One other thing to point out is that, depending on the size of your pistol, it may be easy to scrape your pistol on the top part of the safe as you are pulling it out, and it could scratch the finish of the gun. The bottom has foam so it is not an issue. I may put some foam or something along the top to mitigate the issue. Otherwise a very nice product.
