Shopper : Can this vault be mounted in a car?JUSTIN L : Yes, if it is mounted as pictured it should work. It gravity drops the door when opened. If it is on its side there is nothing to pull the door open and it will relock and will not work.

Nice, mount first

It is solidly built and a nice product. It scans your finger print to open and if you dont move your finger across the scanner the same as when you programmed it at the beginning it will not open. Years later and in a rush to get your gun out that can be a issue. I would recommend mounting it and standing how you will when you are in a hurry to get it open so it will open on the first try and practice several times.
