Highly recommended accesory for the D850
Screws in tight and forms a perfect fit with no movement. Fits well in my hand and has a good material on it that feels grippy. Though if you have a smaller hand it may be a bit on the bigger side and not as comfortable for you. All the buttons have worked great so far and no connection issues between the camera. Battery that came with it has worked great so far as well. Very satisfied with it, Having a side grip has made a huge difference.

Alternatively, you can power your camera directly via AC with an EP-5B power supply connector and EH-5c adapter combination.
Designed with a non-slip rubberized grip, this battery pack ensures perfect balance in any shooting direction. It features full vertical shooting controls that can be independently turned on or off as needed, enhancing camera handling and making vertical picture shooting a breeze.
The grip is equipped with generous operating controls including a shutter button, Main Dial, multi-controller, AF point selection button, AE lock/FE lock button, AF start button, and multi-function button. - Extended Grip for Vertical Composition: The physical design of the grip improves shooting in the vertical orientation with the inclusion of a secondary shutter release button, AE/AF lock button, multi selector, and main- and sub-command dials.
- Extends Shooting Time: It accepts one additional EN-EL15 lithium-ion battery pack to increase the camera's battery life or, alternatively, eight AA batteries can be used in conjunction with the included MS-D12 AA Battery Holder.
- Holds One EN-EL15a Battery, Also Works with Eight AA Batteries, Holds EN-EL18b Battery with BL-5 Cover, Supports EP-5B + EH-5c AC Adapter,
- Holds EN-EL18b Battery with BL-5 Cover: an EN-EL18a/b battery can also be used in conjunction with an optional BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover in order to achieve a faster 7 fps shooting rate as well as an approximate battery life of 5140 shots per charge.
- Shutter Release Button with Control Lock: Shutter release button on grip allows for easy shooting in portrait mode
- Two Command Dials, AF-ON and Fn Buttons: Two command dials for controlling exposure settings
- Slot for Holding Rubber Contact Cover: Dedicated contact cover slot, holds the camera's protective rubber piece for safe storage
