For the price, its great! It doesn't feel like the quality of the canon version but good enough to the touch and for the price of course. Biggest problem I have with this green version is the wheel/joystick, it's not fluid and goes really slow in the direction you try to go in. The cameras joystick you can do circles and basically move around easily like a joystick... left, right, sideways etc... with the green version, it's ONLY bi-directional. I do recommend for the price.

Does exactly what it is supposed to. Build quality exceeded my expectations. Very similar to another third party grip I purchased for the R a few years back. In fact, I kinda feel all their party grips are from the same place. The buttons and wheels are....fine. they all work as needed. It's not fair to try and compare this to a Canon grip that cost 3 ½ times more. It's comfortable and all the features work well including the joy stick. I will say on my other grip it had a usbc to charge both batteries at once and this one does not. This worked great for long form video. Would have been nice to have here as well. All in all I recommend this product. Great alternative to the much more expensive Canon.

Great product for the extra battery capacity and redundant portrait grip controls. Why I gave it 3 stars; The redundant buttons and dials have a different feel to them in relation to the body of the camera and official Canon grips, they work, but that is part of why it's less expensive. This grip is not weather sealed, at least to the body. If you are an outdoor shooter in mixed weather conditions that should be a consideration.

Seems solid and well built. The battery tray confused me at first because the batteries are not inserted the same way as they are on the Canon model. But, the Green Extreme has the battery door holder, which is helpful. All the same features, as far as I know, for a fraction of the cost.

I've got both an R5 and an R6, and this grip fits both models nicely. The build quality is great. The textured rubber part is 'grippier' than the Canon grip or existing rubber on my cameras, so that's nice. Adorama does have a mistake on their description - there are NO batteries included with this. Here's the description "The convenient kit includes 2 Green Extreme LP-E6 series batteries for twice the power", but that's not true. There are no batteries, and the box doesn't indicate there should be any. The box does say it includes a AA Battery Clip, presumably to power your camera with easy to buy alkaline batteries, but there isn't such a clip in it. Still, it's a great grip, and well worth 99.95.

I've been using it regularly over the past month, and have the Canon OEM to compare it to. Seems to be of similar build quality (except for the battery tray, which feels almost flimsy compared to Canon's). So far, I'm happy with it and it's definitely worth saving $250!

Well it was a nice surprise to see a third party grip for my R6 pop up. Used it briefly last night but overall very happy with it. Materials are good. Buttons have nice response.

identical to the Canon version once it's on the camera. The vertical release feels a little different than the Canon version but works fine. The battery tray interchanges with a real Canon grip. The battery tray uses springs instead of metal spring clips but works fine. Given the price difference between this one and the Canon version it's a no-brainer. I'm buying another one.
