Was nervous about purchasing this item as I could find no reviews but I liked the promise of the claims.

I bought additional adapter plate for Nikon DSLR battery to try it out.

To my pleasant surprise, it works as described.  

My purchase had the base and the "plate" for the Canon camcorder battery.  The base unit is deceptively lightweight - doesn't feel like much substance.  The package includes a cigarette light pigtail for use in a car, which is great idea, though I haven't tried it yet..  You need to buy bases for your specific battery.  The base slides into the charger one-way so no risk of backwards install.  When you then plug your battery in, the LCD lights up and tells you % charge left in the battery.  This percentage increases as charging continues until you hit 100%.  not sure if it overcharges at that point or not..

The LCD is weak, and you must look at it almost directly straight in order to read it.  Several times, I thought the unit was broken when I couldn't read the activity.  This is exasperated because in my outlets, the LCD "hangs down" from the wall plug, so I have to literally get on hands and knees to read the LCD, which is below the battery plate, which blocks light and visibility to the LCD.

Otherwise, I've been happy with the purchase, and have not pulled out the factory chargers for my devices for basic single-device charging.
