Great design

Electrical engineer, here. Works just fine. The charger these work with is must-have. The plates are inexpensive ($1 to $2) and are available for many different batteries. Lock in securely but are easy to change out. All in all a really good system for Li batteries of many sizes.

Green Extreme Universal Charging Adapter Plate For Nikon

At first, I didn't even know that this adapter was required, but luckily, when I ordered my Green Extreme batteries for Nikon, the Green Extreme Universal Charger, along with this adapter for my batteries was included in the order. The adapter allows me to use the charger for my specific batteries, but by purchasing additional adapter plates, will allow me to charge other battery models in the future. I think it's a great idea. My track record isn't a long one, but so far it has worked like a charm and so have the charger and batteries.

TIGHT FIT

This item is an adapter for a digital charger to allow the charging of the ENEL15 Nikon Battery. The adaptor fits well into the charger and there is no evidence of it wanting to pop out. However, the insertion of the aftermarket battery from the same supplier into the set up is MORE than snug to the point of being hard to manipulate both in and out. I purchased a two battery charger and found the situation to be the same with both. Possibly with use, the device will wear a little to the point that I don’t have concern of breaking something when taking the battery out. Still it works well.

Better than the Nikon charger

This is a great product, has a better design that the Nikon brand charger (more compact, and it is flush to the electrical outlet (the Nikon charger stick out 5 inches from the wall). I can?t speak to it?s durability as I have only had it 2 weeks. It appears to work well. I especially like the fact that it displays the percent of battery charge. The Nikon brad charger does not have this feature.

This works with a smart charger for the EN EL 15 batteries. Works as advertised. The charger has a digital display that reads out percent battery charge so you can tell how much the battery was discharged when you put it in the charger and how much of a charge it has gained until fully charged. So if you are in a hurry you know if the battery is recharged enough to put in the camera to finish the job. Pretty cool.
