So...this item finally failed. I had the charging plate for the Sony NP-FW50, which failed a few months before this one (i.e. was it only a matter of time?). 
As mentioned in my review for that one, this charger's display is inaccurate. When charging a dead battery, it shows 88% within the hour, stays there, and then 99% - the important thing is the camera display of same battery shows decidedly different levels. Then...after three hours charging, the display flickers between 99% and 36% (!!??).
It's true the NP-BX1 is notoriously short on battery life, but this unit can't even charge it properly. After supposedly a full charge, this battery lasted in my ZV1 for less than 15 minutes.

It is what it is and does the job. This is just the battery specific adapter that is used in conjunction with the universal charger. Placed together it charges batteries.

For your consideration

Don't bother with this charger.  It's substandard, awkward and there are excellent alternatives available.  I recommend the Newmowa 3-Channel USB charger.  It works extremely well and can handle 3 batteries at a time.

This is junk.  Buy the Newmowa 3-Channel USB Charger instead.
