Shopper : I have an older Gitzo G1128 Mk2 Carbon Fiber tripod. There are 3 Gitzo lateral arms here at Adorama, I don't think the geared model is right but this model (Series 2) and the other (Series 1) might be appropriate even though they are aluminum. Which is appropriate, if any?ANDREW R : Unfortunately, the G1128 Mk2 (Mountaineer) has been unavailable for quite some time as such, compatibility with either the Series 2 or Series 1 lateral arms can not be confirmed.

About Gitzo G532

For Reporter Series 2 tripods. Lateral arms enable cameras to be positioned above or below the tripod apex in positions which might otherwise be obstructed by the tripod legs.
Both Rapid (Sliding) and Geared versions are available. For optimum rigidity, make sure to select a lateral arm with the same diameter as the tripod's outer section.
