The Gitzo GC4101 Padded Bag is made from rip-stop fabric, which is both softer to the touch and resistant against tearing and abrasion. This Bag has an asymmetric form with more space at one end in order to accommodate larger heads. It fits all stand alone Systematic Tripods and some combinations with heads. The shoulder strap is fixed to the bag for maximum stability.

My gitzo sticks and head fit like a glove and they are both super protected.

Excellent bag!

I bought this because I figured if I own a tripod, I should probably have a proper bag for it.  That said, this bag should've been included with my  tripod.  The bag itself is very well made and fits my Gitzo Series 4 with RRS BH-55 perfectly.

Great bag, too expensive

Easily swallows my Systematic tripod with as RRS BH-55 mounted on it with room to spare.  Thoughtful design able to accommodate various head configurations.  It isn't long enough to handle my Wimberly Gimbal with a leveling head when attached to the tripod and still close the zippers, but it should be able to handle most other type of heads when attached to the Systematic.  I can't comment on how it would work with the optional center column as I don't use one.  Maybe consider the larger version if you want the extra space.

The bag has a useful inner pocket for small tools and such. 

A bit expensive for what it is. Time will tell how it holds up.  But if it lasts under normal/heavy use, then it's worth the investment.
