The bag is excellent in build and material. It seems like it would be very durable. Sadly it will not fit my Outdoor Camera Setup and I am returning it so another person can benefit from the bag. I will need to order the larger model.

This is a good backpack, but I wish there were more storage pockets either inside or outside.

No knock to the bag at all but I can't give this review a 5 like I would like to solely for the fact that Adorama didn't quality check the shipping. The bag itself gets 5 stars for my use but Adorama left out the rain cover from my order. SMH. I typically have no issues with Adorama, their shipping or anything but they dropped the ball on this one.

This bag is well made with quality materials and seals that make it waterproof. The bag is comfortable to carry on your back, though is a little heavy. In general it performs well for getting your camera safely to a site in adverse conditions. Once you see a shot you want to take and want to get your camera, good luck. The outer compartment is accessed through a well sealed zipper in the back of the pack, which should make getting to equipment easy. However, the inner compartment with the padding has a zipper which does not match with the outer one, making access to equipment difficult. For the price and quality of materials, the designers should have created a zipper system that is not difficult to access. This bag is good for getting gear somewhere safely, but not for easily accessing equipment while on an outing. While I was lugging this around, I saw a professional photographer with a camera around her neck and an umbrella. Not a bad solution if you want to use your camera in wet weather This product gets three stars for quality of materials, and the missing two are for poor design in the inner zipper compartment.

I have the 30l pack. As others have said It is well constructed. The camera section is completely removable from the bag and allows this area to be used for something other than your camera gear if you chose. Sternum strap adjusts up and down along the shoulder harness. I have an HP Spectre 360, 13" and it fits fine in the padded slot. The padding on the waist belt could be extended more. The padding only extends about 6 inches from the zipper and is not removable. Overall it is very functional and it appears to worth the investment. This is a great bag for a day in the woods or for carrying on an airline.

This backpack is exactly what I needed to get all my gear into the field. It holds my 200-500 with camera attached as well as three additional lenses, extension tubes, flash, misc. supplies and all. I even have room for a snack or two. So far, there's nothing to dislike.

Just received my new Gitzo 45L. It is a well built backpack; the rip-stop nylon exterior is pretty thick, but not heavy duty ballistic nylon thick. It should do the trick, hoping it remains waterproof enough. Shoulder straps, back padding, main zippers all appear heavy duty and comfortable. Waist belt lightly padded in back area, plain basic nylon belt around to front. The top can unroll, where there is a Velcro-ed in bag covering the entrance to the camera gear, but it can be removed easily. It helps prevent dirt & more from getting to the camera gear. As far as fitting a 600mm f4 Nikon with a D800 series attached with no tele-extender. The camera gear unit is well padded but is 2 - 3 inches short but it will fit with the "box" bulging a bit, into the main bag which has room to spare. See attached photos with and without lens hood, it can fit but takes a lot of space. Can fit another body and 3 lenses. I saw a youtube video with a similar sized pack where the intact 600mm / D850 was strapped across the top with the top stuff bag wrapped over it. This pack looks like it could handle it during a hike. This pack can handle 2 tripods, including my Gitzo monster & Wimberly. Between 4 & 5 stars out of the box.

I am a long time GuraGear 32L user. I was thrilled with that bag and have been for many years and 100s of thousands of miles. It finally wore out and I had to find a new bag. I travel with a couple bodies, a Canon 600mm f/4 and a 100-400. Very few bags can hold that kit. The new GuraGear bags can't hold the same kit as they are smaller. I just received the Gitzo bag. First impression is quality. The material, the padding and the zippers all feel good. The interior of the bag is similar in size to other large bags, but there is additional padding. That is good and bad. I would say this bag is one lens smaller than my old one. I can get my 600, 100-400 a 1DXII and a 5DIV in the bag comfortably. That is about it. I use all spare "air" in the bag for extenders, batteries and cables. I used to be able to carry a 24-70 as well just in case I needed it. Not with this bag. I also like the various tripod attachments. It takes some getting used to, but in the end it works very well. Also, since the bag is more rigid, the mount points for hanging items works better. If I need to bring landscape and wildlife kit, I think I will end up with two bags or this bag and a lens pouch or two hanging off the side. That is just the way it has to be with airline limits. The bag is comfortable to wear and although it is a pound or more heavier than other similar bags, the rigid structure feels better. All-in-all, I am happy with it and look forward to years of use.
