Strong, steady, dependable, and easy to use

The monopod is big and sturdy and can handle virtually any load without bending or flexing. The unit may be a little large diameter grip for some, this is a tradeoff that needs to be reconciled by each individual user. The new Carbon eXact technology used in new Gitzo products will likely be applied to all Gitzo products over the next year or two. This unit may be replaced sooner or later.

Great Monopod

Lightweight, stable, steady, Super quality as expected from a $300+ Monopod. Expensive for what it is but they just don't get any better.....

Definitely would recommend & buy again!

Shot grand daughters birthday party most recent. Great stable platform 1/4 twist to setup or adjust/take down.Positive locking. Extends one handed. At over $300 for this, the 3351 is $46+/- less with load cap drop to just under 40#. Great addition to your kit if shooting med to large format or heavy camera with long telephotos. I am using the new Kirk Monopod head that has a rated 80# cap. Combo makes for steady shooting. Needed when you're old and shaky like me.

Holy **** this is a great monopod...

I use this monopod to carry a wimberley wh-200 head version 2 with a 100mm - 400mm lens for nature photography in the Adirondacks, it stick handle the weight with ease and is helpful at stream crossings, climbing rocks, etc. It is worth the extra $.

5 series good for 500mm

The 5 series is good for long lenses. It is thicker and stronger. Also bought the Big Foot that makes it even more stable.
