I am returning this for the second time. First one I ordered had broken legs, I never even had a chance to use it. The second one I broke within 5 months of basic use. I haven't even used it that much. The ball head quick clamp just broke off. For this type of price point, this product should be well made. The details are not worked-out.

Keeps breaking and I am over returning for a new one.

You can't beat this bad boy. Sturdy as a truck. Only possible downside is the twist locks.

Beware the twist

Took me a long time to decide on this GT4543LS tripod.
Glad I did.
Wanted something stable enough for focus stacking and to support a 500mm f4 is.
Some would say the 3 series is just fine for 500mm.
I think with a 5dsr 50.0 mp the extra stability will be perfect.
Using less than a third of the 55lb rating.
I really like the Claud hopper flat fleet for my hardwood floors.
Build quality is nice, and the weight is really light.
I have three different plates for accessories,
Ballhead, leveling, Gimbal, 
I think for lighter lens like the 70-200 mkII and lighter, the GT3543LS would be my next purchase.
I really like my gt4543ls.
I also got luck as I got a free Gitzo bag,
Next day free bag offer disappeard.
Note: a RRS leveling unit does not properly fit this 3rd version.
It does partially locks in but not properly if you examine the way it works.
So I used a Gitzo 2,3,4, 75mm half ball in conjunction with the RRS and it all works fine.
The leg locking system is top shelf to me.
Changing out the plates is simple and quick and is solid.
