Gitzo Systematic Series 5 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod, Extra Large

Not only are Systematic Gitzo's strongest and most stable tripods, they're also modular, with a top casting element that opens and closes to allow each tripod to be configured with a flat disk, geared or sliding center column, video half-ball adaptor, leveling base or other Systematic accessories.

The latest range features Carbon eXact tubes, new ultra-stable feet and the Easy Link attachment, making the Systematic even more stable, versatile and ergonomic. The Easy Link attachment (3/8" thread) allows the user to attach various accessories such as a Manfrotto arm to use lighting accessories. Series 5 (top leg diameter 41.3mm) is the choice of the most demanding professionals, being the most rigid tripods in the whole Gitzo range. The top casting is larger than that of Series 3 & 4 Systematics in order to provide maximum stability. GT5543XLS is the 4 section extra long model, for users requiring overhead height. It is a new size for Series 5 Systematic.

Removable feet
This feature allows you to easily change worn out rubber feet or to fit other accessories, such as spiked feet or snow/sand shoes.

Carbon exact
Revolutionary Carbon eXact tubes are even stiffer to maximize rigidity and image stability. Carbon eXact optimizes the fiber composition for each tube size, using HM (High Modulus) carbon fiber in the narrower tubes to make them stiffer. The tube diameters are also optimized: the final leg section of a 4 section Series 1 tripod is now 22.5% thicker than its predecessor.

g-lock ultra
Gitzo G-lock system has been redesigned from the inside out; G-lock Ultra is smoother and softer to use and is designed to reduce dust and grit from getting in.
