This device is equipped with an 80dB Class A Microphone preamplifier that features HI-LO selectable minimum input impedance, balanced and floating. This high gain position exhibits a higher impedance, making it an ideal choice for vintage ribbon microphones. The DMA-73 also boasts a 50Db Class A Line preamplifier, which offers bridging input impedance, balanced and floating for superior sound quality. The all-discrete Class A Ultra High Impedance J-Fet Direct Input is located on a high-quality Neutrik Jack. This DI circuit is strategically placed ahead of the Mic Input transformer, ensuring the transformer is on when in DI mode. Experience the power of the Class A single-ended, 2N3055 driven, high headroom output stage. The DMA-73 features individual Neutrik gold plated XLR connectors for microphone and line inputs, along with a gold plated Neutrik XLR output for enhanced audio transmission. The device comes with a PAD: 20dB Mic input attenuation ahead of the input transformer to prevent overloading. The active all-discrete Class A 3rd order Bessel, 80Hz Hi Pass Filter, with an 18dB/octave slope, ensures clear and crisp audio. The DMA-73 Dual Microphone Preamplifier also includes an OUTPUT control to allow overloading of the preamp, and an external linear PSU to avoid electromagnetic radiation into the audio transformers, eliminating unwanted hum. This preamplifier is built with Carnhill Input and Output transformers and a 3 gain stage, genuine B283 gain card modular construction. The Marconi style knobs and vintage style engraved pushbuttons add a touch of classic elegance to this high-performance device.
